Flere av de ansatte på Fagområdet for universitetspedagogikk ved Universitetet i Oslo ble i ulike faser og på forskjellige måter involvert i forbindelse med innføringen av det norske kvalifikasjonsrammeverket innen høyere utdanning. På den ene siden ble det forventet at de skulle bidra til gjennomføringen av en utdanningspolitisk reform, på den annen side var de faglig sett uenige med flere av premissene for denne reformen. Hvordan møtte de et slikt dilemma? I artikkelen redegjøres det først for hvordan universitetspedagogene engasjerte seg i denne prosessen og for noen sentrale argumenter de benyttet underveis. Deretter blir denne argumentasjonen drøftet i lys av begreper for analyse av politiske reformer. Denne gjennomgangen viser at universitetspedagogene i ulike sammenhenger og uavhengig av hverandre sto for en konsistent og kritisk argumentasjon, men at de i alt vesentlig knyttet sin argumentasjon til selve reformen og ikke til dens ideologiske overbygning i Bolognaprosessen både som innhold og form. Artikkelen drøfter i etterkant hvordan universitetspedagogene kan ha utviklet felles usagte forutsetninger som kan forklare slike samkjørte innspill fra medlemmene.
