This study aims to determine what steps were taken by the Vocational High School (SMK) 1 Mojokerto in implementing Dual System Education / Internship which is a mandatory activity for high school students to improve students` insights and qualities and foster good relations between a vocational high school and a job provider company during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research is qualitative research that aims to describe the implementation of Dual System Education / Internship by Vocational high School 1 Mojokerto during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Effect of Pandemic Covid-19 into Internship Activity on apprenticeship: 1) During the pandemic, halt the internship process; internship operations can resume after the pandemic has passed. (2) Relocating student street vendors to businesses that follow government and corporation laws and require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). (3) Internships will be phased out in favor of online learning.
This study aims to determine the contributions of career guidance and parents support to the vocational high school students' work readiness. This research is survey. The sampling technique used a proportional random sampling method. The data collection used the questionnaire method to obtain career guidance data, support parents, and students’ work readiness. The data analysis included descriptive analysis, prerequisite analysis including normality test, linearity test, and multi-collinearity test, and multiple analysis with F-test, determination test, and partial correlation analysis. The results showed that (1) career guidance and parents’ support influenced positively and significantly to work readiness of vocational students, (2) career guidance influenced positively and significantly to work readiness of students in vocational school, and (3) the parental support influenced positively and significantly on work readiness of students in vocational high schools.
The study explored safety practices in technical school shops. The area of the study was North-Eastern Nigeria. The study adopted descriptive survey research design and the population of the study comprises of 134 carpentry and joinery Teachers/Instructors, 97 workshop attendants and 783 Carpentry and Joinery Students from the 29 Technical Colleges thereby making a population size of 1014. The instrument used for data collection was a structured questionnaire on a five-point scale adapted from a previous study. The reliability coefficient of the instrument was 0.78. Mean was used to analyze the research questions. Findings from the study indicated that safety practices around Technical School shop environment, and the observation of safety practices by workshop personnel were to a moderately extents. It was recommended among others that School administrators should organize periodic reorientation programmes for carpentry and joinery workshop personnel to reeducate them on the need to strictly comply with all the safety standards guiding carpentry and joinery workshop operations.
Acupuncture has been widely used to induce analgesia. Acupuncture can be used as pain therapy, allergy, inflammation, metabolic disorder, poststroke and adjuvant anesthesia. This case report aims to describe the benefits of acupuncture as an adjuvant of general anesthesia in cesarean section. A 20 years woman G1P0A0 parturien aterm with fetal breech position presented to undergo cesarean section in general anesthesia with an adjuvant acupuncture at Dr. Dustira Hospital Cimahi Indonesia in June 20th, 2017. Patient was treated electroacupuncture by inserting needles at the points of incision, Hegu (LI-4), Neikuan (P-6), Sanyinjiao (SP-6) and Zusanli (S-36) bilaterally 10 mA at a frequency of 40 Hz began 30 minutes before induction of anesthesia until surgery was completed. Induction of anesthesia was initiated by injection of fentanyl 50 µg and propofol 50 mg until negative eyelids reflex followed by ventilation support with isofluran, N2O:O2, atracurium 25 mg and then performed intubation. Maintenance of anesthesia used isofluran to achieve adequate anesthesia level with BIS monitor on 40-60 scale, N2O:O2 = 2 L/min: 2 L/min. During operation the hemodynamic condition was stable with an average of end tidal isofluran 0.5 vol%. The baby was born with APGAR score of 5-8-10. After surgery the acupuncture needle at the left Hegu point is maintained for 24 hours. Patient was not given either analgesic or antiemetic postoperatively. The patient was admitted to the recovery room for 30 minutes without any complaint of bleeding, pain, nausea or vomiting, then moved to the nursing ward. In this case, acupuncture as adjuvant general anesthesia decreased the dose of anesthetic drugs and did not interfere with the fetus. Acupuncture was also useful to prevent postoperative pain and nausea vomiting.
Interpersonal Communication Strategy for Trainers and Players in Improving the Achievement of UPI Bandung Futsal Team. Interpersonal communication is communication that has a large effect in terms of changing the attitudes and thoughts of others, especially individuals. This is because, usually the parties involved in the communication meet directly, do not use the media in delivering the message so that there is no distance that separates the communicator from the communicant. The diversity of the UPI Bandung Futsal Club players led to the need for an appropriate communication in a training situation and at the time of evaluation after the training of the players. Interpersonal communication is considered necessary to be used and controlled by a trainer in communicating to players during training in the field as well as interactions outside the field. UPI Bandung Futsal Club has three training programs, including strategy training, physical training, and agility training. Good communication will facilitate the process of sending the intended message from the coach, so that if what is instructed from the three training programs by the trainer then performed well by the player. The author chooses the effectiveness of Interpersonal communication between the trainer and the UPI Bandung Futsal Club player, because researchers are interested in the background of the different tribes of players and the players who are women. In addition, an increase in achievement adds to the interest of researchers to find out more about interpersonal communication at the UPI Bandung Futsal Club in improving achievementThis study aims to describe and analyze How Interpersonal Communication Strategies for Trainers and Players Improve UPI Bandung Futsal Team Achievement (Qualitative Study of Teams Putri UPI futsal Bandung).
