Dentre os vários objetivos estabelecidos no presente estudo, este em questão se refere a análise de acessibilidade da população negra em comparação com a população branca quanto à prevenção, diagnóstico e tratamento do HIV/AIDS e DST. Abrangem soropositivos masculinos e femininos, de etnia negra e branca, maiores de 18 anos, acompanhados no serviço de HIV/AIDS na UNICAMP. Utiliza entrevista semiestruturada. Resultados indicam desigualdade social entre negros e brancos: menor acesso a escolaridade, a renda e acessibilidade aos serviços de saúde dificultada pelo diagnóstico tardio, realizado em grande parte via internação. Abstract: In this present study proposal, considered many aspects in the research, is to analysis of the afro American population accessibility, compared to the white population in terms of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of HIV/AIDS and STD’s. The research did include seropositive male and female, comparing patients of afro american and white ethnics, of 18 years age up, accompanied and the HIV/AIDS Service of this institution. In the research semi-structured interviews was utilised on afro american and white population with HIV/AIDS. The results showed social inequality between afro american and white population, including poor access to schoolhouse, low gross receipts and accessibility to health services, and in fact diagnosis are too late realized, and largely during the hospitalization.
RESUMOA discriminação por cor/raça, na maioria das vezes de forma velada, pode estar associada a diferenças no acesso e na assistência nas diferentes esferas do setor saúde e da sociedade. O objetivo do estudo foi analisar o perfil de pacientes pretos/pardos e brancos com infecção HIV/Aids em seguimento, no Hospital de Clínicas da Unicamp, quanto a aspectos sociodemográficos e epidemiológicos, relacionados à percepção e vivência de preconceitos como portador da doença no decorrer da enfermidade e as possíveis desigualdades sociais em relação à raça cor referida. Foi realizado estudo transversal em amostra de pacientes que se referiam pretos ou pardos (50%) e como brancos (50). Para avaliar as percepções e vivências de racismo e preconceito dos pacientes realizaram-se 4 grupos focais com pacientes de raça negra. A média de idade (DP) dos 987 pacientes avaliados foi de 40,02 (9,58); 52,2% branca; 50,7% homens; 44,7% casados/união livre; 45,5% com ensino fundamental incompleto, com média de 8,14 (4,40) anos de escolaridade. No referente ao uso de drogas recreacionais, observamos que 77,8% utilizam, sendo mais prevalente o uso do álcool (70,8%) e do cigarro (60%). Sobre a preferência sexual encontramos que 87,4% é heterossexual, 70,9% referiu uso de preservativo sempre maior depois do diagnóstico, com diferença por sexo e opção sexual.Em relação à raça encontrou-se diferença na escolaridade, na renda e na situação de trabalho; os brancos tinham maior escolaridade e renda e melhor situação de trabalho (empregados ou aposentados) que os pretos/pardos. Dos participantes, 39,5% referiu ter sofrido algum tipo de preconceito, sem diferença pela cor da pele ou sexo; a principal causa de preconceito foi a infecção (78,1%), preconceito vivenciado tanto pela família (50,6%) como pela comunidade em que convive (27,5%). Ao avaliar o local de acesso ao tratamento do HIV os pacientes de raça/cor preto/pardo chegam seguindo o fluxo da rede do SUS.A partir dos relatos dos pacientes pode-se evidenciar, que ''viver com o HIV'' e "ser negro" envolve dimensões delicadas, tais como preconceitos pela doença e pela raça. Preconceitos que acontecem dentro das instituições "Racismo Institucional" envolvendo tanto funcionários administrativos como profissionais da saúde.A proposta do grupo focal foi investigar se a questão do preconceito por raça/cor referida é percebida pela população negra, pois não foi perceptível na pesquisa anterior e sendo assim, responder se a questão racial é um limitante para o acesso ao seguimento do tratamento no Hospital de Clínica da Unicamp e no SUS.Pode-se concluir que os pacientes com menor escolaridade e baixa renda são de raça negra; que os homens e bissexuais utilizam com maior frequência o preservativo (a camisinha) e as drogas mais utilizadas são o álcool e o cigarro. Evidenciou-se, como esperado, uma significativa (40%) referência de preconceito relacionado à infecção pelo HIV que foi confirmado nas falas dos pacientes.
