The explosive growth of online education environments is generating a massive volume of data, specially in text format from forums, chats, social networks, assessments, essays, among others. It produces exciting challenges on how to mine text data in order to find useful knowledge for educational stakeholders. Despite the increasing number of educational applications of text mining published recently, we have not found any paper surveying them. In this line, this work presents a systematic overview of the current status of the Educational Text Mining field. Our final goal is to answer three main research questions: Which are the text mining techniques most used in educational environments? Which are the most used educational resources? And which are the main applications or educational goals? Finally, we outline the conclusions and the more interesting future trends. This article is categorized under: Application Areas > Education and Learning Ensemble Methods > Text Mining
The low forage productivity in the Brazilian semi-arid is linked to water scarcity and climatic conditions, these abiotic disturbances affect the development of livestock and the local economy. Seeking to circumvent the situation, the use of forage species adapted to climatic conditions is of paramount importance, such as forage cactus, a crop rich in nutrients, much appreciated by animals, but lacking in fiber and protein, making it necessary to use other forage plants like sorghum, millet, pigeon pea and forage sunflower, both species have high levels of fiber and protein, and with this, they complement each other and enable the production of more balanced diets for herds. However, the higher yield of crops is observed with the implementation of resilient practices such as irrigation, adoption of mulch, intercropping, which promotes more sustainable systems with high forage potential. In this review, the objective was to evaluate the use of different agronomic practices to increase the productivity and sustainability of forage cactus crops and crops of regional appeal to the Brazilian semi-arid region. It is concluded that the sustainable intensification of agricultural crops, through complementary irrigation, mulch, intercropping with forage cactus, and plant species adapted to the Brazilian semi-arid region, can promote an increase in forage production without adverse effects on ecosystems.

MEFFICIENCY OF VEGETABLE COVERAGE IN REDUCING WATER AND SOIL WASTE IN IGUATU MUNICIPALITY 2 ABSTRACT The study on the changes of vegetal cover is of primary importance for the understanding of possible alterations in hydrological processes. The objective of this study was to evaluate the influence of vegetation cover removal on water and soil losses for different rainfall classes: < 20 mm, 20 - 60 mm, 60 - 80 mm and > 80 mm. The study was developed in the city of Iguatu, Ceará. Two erosion plots with different management were monitored: exposed soil and pasture. The study took place during the years 2011 to 2014. The year 2011 was characterized as the one with the highest rainfall volume (1,372 mm). Of the total rainfall during this year, 610 and 724 mm were lost by surface runoff in pasture and exposed soil plots, respectively; with soil loss of 3,746 and 52,114 kg ha-1. In 2013 the lower rainfall total occurred (630.8 mm), with waste due to runoff being 85.8 and 313.4 mm causing soil losses corresponding to 82 and 12,820 ha -1 for pasture and exposed soil plots, respectively. These results highlight the importance of vegetation cover to reduce water and soil losses and the strong influence of rainfall concentration in the region on hydrological processes. Keywords: runoff, rainfall classes, exposed soil
Sorghum is a crop that has high adaptability to adverse edaphoclimatic conditions, maintaining a high productive performance, serving as a food source for animal humans, as well as raw material for ethanol production. In the semi-arid region, this crop is even more important, especially as an alternative in complementing the food diet, mainly animal, bringing cost reduction in the livestock sector, and favorably contribute to the balance of grain regulatory stocks and promoting balance in production. Thus, contributing to the sustainable growth of livestock in this region. However, evidence indicates a reduction in planted area in recent harvests due to an evident reduction in sorghum crop production performance under the edaphoclimatic conditions of that region, discouraging large-scale production. In this context, overcoming these obstacles has been the use of cultivars adapted to the edaphoclimatic conditions of these regions, as well as some modifications in crop planning and crop management. This review aimed to explore the general characteristics, classification of sorghum types, socioeconomic importance, ecophysiology, edaphology, phytosanitary agents and yield potential of sorghum cultivars currently available for cultivation in the Brazilian semiarid region. Sorghum cultivation in Brazil has shown a high productive potential, not only for its adaptive ability in different environmental conditions, but for its ease of mechanization from sowing to harvest.
