A hemofilia é uma doença hemorrágica hereditária e um dos principais desafios do seu tratamento é o desenvolvimento de inibidores. O objetivo desse trabalho foi discutir a literatura que trata da presença de inibidores face à abordagem diagnóstica, terapêutica e impacto na qualidade de vida. Trata-se de um estudo de revisão composto por 81 artigos, utilizaram-se os descritores "Hemofilia" e "Inibidores dos Fatores da Coagulação". Conclui-se que o desenvolvimento de inibidores reflete a interação entre vários fatores como mutação genética, resposta imune, moduladores, além de alterações adquiridas. Implica em importante desafio no cenário terapêutico e impacto na qualidade de vida dos pacientes hemofílicos.
Objetivo: Avaliar a adesão ao tratamento de pessoas com doença falciforme acompanhadas em um hemocentro da região norte de Minas Gerais. Métodos: Estudo observacional, descritivo, conduzido a partir da avaliação de prontuários e aplicação de questionários a 70 portadores de doença falciforme, com posterior análise estatística descritiva. O estudo foi aprovado pelo Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa. Resultados: Dentre a amostra, 57,1% eram do sexo feminino e 55,7% tinham até 17 anos. 78,6% residiam entre 101 e 400 km de distância do hemocentro e 74,3% relataram necessitar de condução da prefeitura para acesso ao serviço de saúde. Acerca do perfil genético, o diagnóstico de anemia falciforme (homozigoto) representou 72,9%. Foi frequente a prescrição de ácido fólico (92,9%) e todos os participantes com até 5 anos estavam em uso de penicilina. Entrevistados relataram uso de hidroxiureia (35,7%) e quelante de ferro (11,4%). 27,1% revelaram possuir alguma dificuldade no tratamento, sendo 78,4% relacionadas à obtenção dos medicamentos. A análise da adesão ao tratamento detectou escore alto ou médio em 97,1% dos entrevistados. Conclusão: Conclui-se que há conformidade entre a assistência prestada e os protocolos estabelecidos, com elevada taxa de adesão. Contudo, os pacientes ainda enfrentam obstáculos que prejudicam a terapia.
