The main objective of this paper is to examine the results of an observational study on the use of Facebook by adolescents in an informal context. The authors describe the preliminary results of the research and analyze the significant variables that contribute to improve the current, important debate about the social network as a source of information and knowledge in the matching of learning in informal and formal contexts. The above analysis is the premise for the illustration of the potential and advantages that could follow from the use of social networking in everyday teaching. The core problem of the renewal of teaching today is in fact the centre of the debate on an integrated use of ICT in teaching-learning process as re-structuring factor of the action learning systems in formal settings with respect to the cognitive, affective, socio-relational and psycho-motor taxonomic components and implications.
Learning a foreign language takes time and effort. In the last few years, too much emphasis has been placed on oral communication skills and English teachers make their students speak English without paying enough attention to grammatical accuracy. As a result, while students’ ability in terms of fluency has improved, they often cannot communicate appropriately in English due to a lack of grammatical knowledge. The aim of the study was to explore the potential of Precision Teaching software developed for the improvement of English grammar rules. Two groups were compared, one having used the software and the other following a traditional textbook-based approach. The students who used the software showed significantly higher learning scores than students who did not. In addition, after using the software students show increased scores in some cognitive abilities that are related to foreign language learning.
Il ruolo degli insegnanti, e nello specifico, di quelli di sostegno è sempre più importante nei nuovi orizzonti e nelle nuove strategie volute dal PNRR in risposta alla crisi pandemica che ha investito ogni dimensione della vita pubblica e privata e che impone una nuova visione dei contesti di formazione che siano rispettosi di nuove esigenze di giustizia sociale e inclusione. In tale direzione, si muovono le riflessioni del presente contributo che punta la lente di ingrandimento su nuovi paradigmi funzionali atti a ridesignare una nuova consapevolezza etica che poggia su competenze larghe e informate che sono necessarie alla progettazione di contesti di apprendimento inclusivi.
