Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menguji faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi konsumen untuk menggunakan e-Money dan mengetahui apakah terdapat peran gender pada hubungan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan model konseptual dari model TAM dan perkembangan model dari hasil penelitian terdahulu. Model ini secara empiris divalidasi dengan menggunakan tanggapan yang diterima dari 186 masyarakat Indonesia. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan WarpPLS 6.0. Temuan dari penelitian ini yaitu Perceived usefulness, Perceived ease of use, Compatibility, Perceived trust, Perceived risk, dan Perceived cost secara statistik bukan faktor yang menentukan seseorang untuk mengadopsi e-money di Indonesia. Sedangkan Subjective norm merupakan factor penting yang menentukan seseorang untuk mengadopsi e-money, lalu diikuti social image, dan perceived benefit. Subjective norm berpengaruh secara signifikan pada niat untuk mengadopsi e-money lebih tinggi laki-laki dibanding perempuan, dan gender merupakan variabel moderasi pada hubungan ini. Implikasi praktik dari penelitian ini yaitu memberikan strategi bagi penyedia e-money untuk pengembangan teknologi.
