Organizations that are successful in achieving goals and being able to fulfill their social responsibilities will depend largely on their leaders. The transformational leadership style can encourage and motivate employees to increase the extra role and performance of employees towards the organization. The purpose of this study is to analyze and explain the influence of transformational leadership and organizational commitment to employee performance with organizational citizenship behavior as intervening variable at PT. Sarana Arga Gemeh Amerta (SAGA) Denpasar. The research population is the employees of PT. Sarana Arga Gemeh Amerta (SAGA) Denpasar with the number of samples is 88 respondents. The sampling technique used is proportional random sampling. The research instrument used questionnaire and analysis method using Partial Least Square (PLS) with SmartPLS v 3.0 software. The results of this study show that (1) transformational leadership has a negative effect on employee performance (2) organizational commitment has a significant positive effect on employee performance (3) transformational leadership has a significant positive effect on organizational citizenship behavior (4) organizational commitment has significant positive effect on organizational citizenship behavior (5) organizational citizenship behavior has a significant positive effect on employee performance (6) organizational citizenship behavior fully and positively and significantly mediates relationship between transformational leadership and employee performance (7) organizational citizenship behavior mediate partially and positively and significantly to the relationship between organizational commitment and employee performance. Suggestions on research that is transformational leadership should be preferred by managers because based on the results of research that transformational leadership variables have a negative effect on employee performance. Employees are also advised to further improve mutual attitudes and pay attention to its extraneous role to the organization as it can improve employee performance. Furthermore, further research can broaden the research orientation within the larger organizational and population scope and add other variables.
The COVID-19 (novel coronavirus disease 2019) has become a worldwide disaster. This pandemic not only affected the world economy but also the family economy. Good financial literacy will help individuals avoid financial problems, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Financial literacy can facilitate individuals to manage their income well even in demanding situations. This study aims to analyse how financial literacy helps in the depression condition of the COVID-19 pandemic. This study takes a sample of 396 household heads. This study uses partial least square (PLS) analysis to analyse the data. Results show that all financial attitudes, behaviour and literacy variables positively affect financial literacy and wellbeing. The implication of this research is that financial literacy, which is reflected by financial attitudes and behaviour plays a key role in public financial welfare.
Purpose The study aims to examine the influence of auditor personal factors, such as goal orientation, self-efficacy and professional commitment to auditor’s responsibility to detect the fraudulent, particularly in small accounting firms. Design/methodology/approach The authors surveyed 86 auditors working in small accounting firms in Bali Province, Indonesia. Findings The results prove the role of self-efficacy as a mediating variable in the relationship of goal orientation and auditor responsibility. This result at once confirms that self-efficacy can improve individual performance even in complex tasks. This study also proves the role of professional commitment as a mediator variable. Research limitations/implications Given that the respondents came from small accounting firms, these findings are not intended to be generalized with auditors in large accounting firms. Practical implications These findings highlight essential efforts to reduce audit expectation gaps between auditors and the public. The small accounting firms’ leaders must to alignment workplace organizational goals and organization professional goals. A dualism of purpose causes the auditor to fail to fulfill the responsibility of fraud detection. Social implications There is a severe audit expectation gap related to the auditor’s role in detecting fraud. This finding expected to answer public questions related to auditors’ ability and responsibility in small accounting firms in detecting fraud. Originality/value There is limited research on auditor responsibility, particularly in small audit firms in developing countries. Also, there is still debate scientific about the influence of goal orientation, self-efficacy and professional commitment to auditor performance.
Abstract:The aims of study are to examine and analyze the influence of situational leadership style and compensation on employee performance with job satisfaction as intervening variable. This research was conducted at PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Denpasar Branch Office with population and sample of all employees working at PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk Denpasar Branch Office, which are 64 people. All data obtained from the questioner distribution is feasible to be used, then analyzed using model of structural equation based on variance known as Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis.The result of the research shows that (1) situational leadership impact positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, (2) compensation impact positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, (3) job satisfaction has positive and significant effect to employee's performance, (4) situational leadership has positive and (6) situational leadership impact positive and significant effect on employee performance through job satisfaction, (7) compensation impact positive and significant effect on employee performance through job satisfaction. (5) Compensation have impact a negative effect on employee performance.The implication of this research is that situational leadership can be improved by paying attention to exemplary in order to increase employee performance. Compensation can be increased by paying attention to incentive to sacrifice to increase employee performance. Job satisfaction can be enhanced by paying attention to the superiority of employee's ability to improve employee performance last employee performance can be improved by taking into account the responsibility.
Research on career development and organizational culture on performance with work motivation as intervening variable is done at cooperative located in Pedungan village of South Denpasar Pedungan Village is a village located in South Denpasar District, Denpasar City, Bali Province. The development of cooperatives is currently supported by the development of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The number of cooperatives in the village pedungan is 33 cooperatives with the total number of employees is 338 employees. The purpose of this study is to know and examine the influence of career development on employee performance in cooperative in rural village, To know and test the influence of organizational culture on employee performance in cooperative in rural village, to know and test the influence of career development on employee motivation at cooperative in to know and examine the influence of organizational culture on employee motivation in cooperative in rural village, To know and to test influence of work motivation to employees performance at Cooperative in rural village. This research is a quantitative research using primary data obtained from the questionnaire and measured by using Likert scale. The population of this research is employees at Cooperative in rural village as many as 85 people. The method of selecting the sample of this study using Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling is this technique is used when the population has members who are not homogeneous and stratified proportionally. Data analysis technique used in this research is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS) using SmartPLS 3.0 program. The result of the research shows that (1) career development has positive and significant effect to work motivation, (2) organizational culture have positive and significant effect to work motivation, (3) career development have positive and significant effect to employee performance, (4) and (5) the influence of mediation of work motivation variable on indirect influence of career development on partial performance, and (7) influence of mediation of work motivation variable on the influence of unbalanced direct organizational culture to performance is partial
