Introducción: Los agroecosistemas de C. arabica bajo sombra son de los cultivos que se consideran no dañinos para la biodiversidad, sin embargo, dada la importancia ecológica que tienen en el resguardo de muchas especies son escasos los estudios en este cultivo en la zona. Objetivo: Proporcionar información sobre la diversidad y la fluctuación de insectos asociados al agroecosistema de café bajo sombra, mediante un estudio faunístico. Métodos: Los insectos se recolectaron sobre diez plantas de C. arabica divididas en tres estratos (bajo, medio y alto) cada 15 días durante los meses de junio a octubre del 2018, utilizando la red de golpeo, el aspirador y trampas Pitfall. Resultados: Recolectamos 1, 923 especímenes pertenecientes a 40 géneros, 35 familias y ocho órdenes. Hemiptera fue el orden con más riqueza de familias registradas (9) y más géneros (13). Coleoptera registró la mayor abundancia con 538 (27,98%). Apis sp y Canthon sp fueron los géneros con la mayor abundancia ambos con 108 individuos. La mayor riqueza, abundancia y diversidad se registró en el estrato medio con 35 especies, 756 individuos y con 1D= 28,53, 2D=25,56. La máxima abundancia de los insectos coincide con la precipitación y humedad alta, y con los valores de temperatura baja. La curva de acumulación se estabilizó a partir del muestreo cinco. Conclusión: Presentamos el primer estudio sobre la entomofauna en un agroecosistemas de C. arabica con manejo orgánico, mostrando que alberga una alta diversidad y que es importante para el refugio y la conservación de insectos benéficos.
El presente trabajo de investigación tuvo por objetivo evaluar el efecto del área foliar y bioestimulantes en la propagación vegetativa de café especial (<em>Coffea arabica</em> L. var. <em>typica</em>) en cámara de subirrigación. Se utilizó un diseño experimental factorial completamente al azar, con factor A: área foliar (AF-25 %; AF-50% y AF-100%) y Factor B: tipo de bioestimulante (Incentive, Big-Hor) y un testigo sin nada. Presentó 3 repeticiones, con 27 unidades experimentales en total. Las estacas pasaron por un proceso de desinfección en solución antifúngica Propineb 70% PM, dosis 5g x L<sup>-1</sup>. A continuación, fueron cortadas las hojas en diferentes áreas, para colocarlas en tubetes con arena desinfectada. Finalmente, se introdujeron en una cámara de subirrigación en condiciones controladas para fomentar el enraizamiento, realizando aplicaciones foliares de bioestimulantes 2ml x L<sup>-1</sup>. Transcurridas seis semanas se evaluaron las estacas, encontrándose que el área foliar influyó en el porcentaje de enraizamiento, número y longitud de raíces sobresaliendo el área AF-100%, mientras que el AF-25% no tuvo resultados favorables. El tipo de fertilizante no influyó en el enraizamiento, pero sí mostró efectos significativos en el número y tamaño de raíces, sobresaliendo el Big-Hor e Incentive, respectivamente. Ambos fueron superiores al testigo sin bioestimulante. Se concluye que las estacas, cuanto mayor sea el área foliar, mayor será el enraizado y desarrollo radicular; los bioestimulantes no son determinantes en la emisión de raíces, sin embargo, actúan posteriormente en el crecimiento y desarrollo de las mismas.
<p>El Perú es probablemente el país con más diversidad nativa de ají cultivado en el mundo. En este contexto, el objetivo de esta investigación fue diagnosticar las plagas y enfermedades de cinco genotipos de ají (<em>Capsicum</em> sp.), cultivadas en condiciones de un invernadero semicontrolado. El experimento se instaló bajo un Diseño Completamente al Azar (DCA) con cinco variedades de aji. Se evaluó la incidencia de plagas y enfermedades. En laboratorio se realizó la caracterización morfológica de las plagas y enfermedades encontradas. Las enfermedades identificadas fueron pudrición de frutos causada por <em>Penicillium</em> sp y pudrición vascular causada por <em>Fusarium</em> sp. Se presentaron solo para el ají pimiento con incidencias del 3,8 % y 8,3 % respectivamente. La única plaga que se presento fue el pulgón verde identificado como <em>Myzus</em> sp, que se presentó en todos los tratamientos, pero con mayor incidencia en ají pimiento con un promedio de 13,52 pulgones/cm<sup>2</sup>.</p>
<p>El presente trabajo tuvo por objetivo evaluar la influencia del campo magnético en la germinación y desarrollo de plántulas de <em>Cedrela montana </em>Moritz ex Turks (cedro) en Amazonas, Perú. Las semillas de la especie forestal se expusieron a una fuerza magnética de 120 mT, durante diferentes periodos de tiempo. Los tiempos expuestos fueron de 0, 20, 40, 60, 120 min. En el experimento las variables evaluadas fueron: capacidad germinativa, presencia de hojas verdaderas y longitud total de plántulas. Los resultados muestran que el tratamiento 3 presenta mayor tasa de germinación 45%, y el valor más bajo lo tiene el tratamiento 4 con 35.5 %; el crecimiento evaluado a 40 y 60 días después de la emergencia y mediante la prueba estadística se encuentra diferencia significativa, documentando como el mejor tratamiento a 40 min de exposición al campo magnético, y el tratamiento 60 min de exposición, con la media de crecimiento más bajo.<strong></strong></p>
