This article has been writing techniques influence modeling text writing skills against the complex procedure of grade XI 1 — Tapan. This research is quantitative research with quasi experiment method of the one group pretest-postest design. The data in this study is the writing skills test score of complex procedure text grade XI 1 — Tapan before and after using the technique of modeling. The data obtained through test performance. Based on the results of data analysis, researchers concluded three things here; First, complex procedure text writing skills of students of Class XI 1 — Tapan before using the techniques of modelling are at Sufficient qualifications (62.02). Second, complex procedure text writing skills of students of Class XI — 1 using the technique of modeling after the Tapan is at Good qualifications (78.57). Third, based on the t-test, the alternative hypothesis (H1) are accepted on the degrees of confidence and degrees of freedom (dk) = (n-1) because thitung > ttabel (7.10 > 1.70). The purpose this research are (1) To find out the exposition text writing skills at class VIII SMP at 5 Pariaman before using copy the master technique. (2) To find out the exposition text writing skills ot class VIII SMP at 5 Pariaman after using copy the master technique. (3) To analyze the effects of using copy the master technique towards the exposition text writing skills at class VIII SMP at 5 Pariaman. This is quantitative research using quasi experiment. This study aims to describe the influence model of discovery learning the skills of writing text exposition class X SMKN 8 Padang. The type of this research is quantitative research done using experimental design. The results of this research are three: (1) writing text skills exposition before using discovery learning model of class X SMKN 8 Padang are in qualifying Nearly Enough (HC) with an average value of 50,12 (2) writing text skills exposition after using discovery learning model of class X SMKN 8 Padang are in qualification well (B) with an average value of 80,98 and (3) exposition writing text skills class X SMKN 8 Padang after using the model of discovery learning better than before using the model of discovery learning. The purpose of this study was to describe the use of sentences in the news text of class VIII B SMP Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP academic year 2018. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive methods. The research entry is the news text writing of class VIII B students, amounting to 28 texts from 28 people. Data collection is done through documentation studies. Data were analyzed by referring to the Miles and Huberman models with steps, namely (1) doing data reduction, (2), displaying data, and (3) making conclusions and verification (conclusion drawing / verification). Based on the results of the study, the use of sentences used in the text includes single sentences and compound sentences. The use of single sentences was found 105 (57%) of 183 sentences as research data. Whereas, compound sentences were found 78 (42%) of 183 sentences as research data. The use of sentences based on single sentences is found 81 (76%) verbal predicate sentences of 105 single sentences, 8 (8%) numeral predicate sentences of 105 single sentences, 7 (7%) nominal sentences of 105 single sentences, 6 (6%) sentences the sentence has an adjunctival predicate of 105 single sentences, and 3 (3%) prepositional prediction of 105 single sentences. Then, the use of sentences based on compound sentences found 41 (53%) compound sentences equivalent from 78 compound sentences and 37 (47%) multilevel compound sentences from 78 compound sentences. This research is motivated by the problems in writing description texts of seventh grade students at SMPN 11 Padang. This type of research is qualitative research using descriptive methods. The data from this study is the use of diction in the description text of SMPN 11 Padang students. The data sources used in this study are the sentences in the description text written by seventh grade students of SMPN 11 Padang. The researcher only discussed and examined 30 description text writtings written by seventh grade students of SMPN 11 Padang. Based on the results of the study, the following points can be concluded. First, the description text of class VII of SMPN 11 Padang in the use of diction is more dominant having accurary, precision, and harmony in word selection. This can be proven from 30 student description texts consisting of 96 paragraphs, 332 sentences, and 3,567 dictionaries. There are 3.126 accurary in word selection, 3,507 precision in word selection, and 3,494 harmony in word selection. Second, from the student’s description text, it can be seen that there are still students who don’t understand about the use of diction. It can be seen from 3,567 diction used, there are still innaccuracies in the diction as much as 441 words, the accuracy of diction is 60 words, and the incompatibility of diction is 73 words. Third, students still don’t understand the use of spelling in accordance with the Indonesian spelling rules. Kata kunci : Kualitatif, Menulis, Teks Deskripsi, Diksi
