Esta investigación analiza la configuración de dos gobiernos tras su constitución como el resultado de procesos de acumulación de poder de carácter dual: por una parte, los miembros del ejecutivo han establecido en el pasado una serie de relaciones formales que quedan proyectadas a la nueva institución constituida; por otra parte, la selección de estas personas pone en relación a la agencia gubernamental con el conjunto de los grupos de poder y de influencia de los que dichas personas provienen. Para sintetizar estas relaciones de dualidad, se propone un marco de análisis en el que las personas y los grupos pasan a un segundo plano y en el que son las posiciones sociales las que se convierten en la clave para la comprensión del ejercicio del poder político.
Resumen. Esta investigación consiste en un estudio mediante Análisis de Redes Sociales (ARS) sobre dos gobiernos recientes de la democracia española: el gobierno del Partido Popular formado en el año 2012 y el ejecutivo del Partido Socialista, constituido en el 2004. Estas dos agencias gubernamentales se conciben y se analizan como redes sociales que vinculan a sus miembros a partir de los contactos que estos establecieron en el pasado en cinco grupos de poder: los grupos ejecutivos, los legislativos, los políticos, los empresariales y los burocráticos. El estudio revela dos rasgos fundamentales para ambos casos: un elevado nivel de cohesión interna y un conjunto relevante de vínculos que relacionan a los gobiernos con importantes grupos de poder de la estructura social.
