Este trabajo forma parte de las distintas intervenciones desarrolladas en el marco de un proyecto de investigación educativa propuesto por el Departamento de Innovación Tecnológica de la Universidad Tecnológica Nacional, Facultad Regional Avellaneda, de la República Argentina, sobre “Gestión y transferencia del conocimiento en las Ciencias Básicas mediadas por tecnologías en carreras STEM”. Esta investigación tiene como propósito brindar información sobre algunas variables motivacionales que inciden en alumnos de carreras de Ingeniería al realizar el Curso de Preparación de Examen Final (Plan Beta) en modalidad blended learning. Estos cursos brindan una alternativa a aquellos estudiantes con dificultades para acreditar la instancia de evaluación final en algunas materias de los primeros años de la carrera. Tienen como propósito acompañar y motivar a los estudiantes a complementar esta instancia, propiciando una profundización e integración de los conceptos que fueron abordados en las cursadas, para afrontar con éxito las actividades propuestas. La intervención fue realizada en dos cursos correspondientes a las asignaturas Álgebra y Geometría Analítica y Probabilidad y Estadística respectivamente, en el contexto de un modelo didáctico de aula invertida. Luego de la implementación del diseño pedagógico en ambos cursos, se relevó información sobre motivación y estrategias de aprendizaje de los estudiantes a través del cuestionario MSLQ (Motivation Learning Strategies Questionnaire) y sobre su rendimiento académico. La metodología utilizada responde a un diseño descriptivo. Participaron del trabajo de campo los estudiantes de ambos cursos Entre los resultados se observó, en ambas asignaturas, un alto porcentaje de estudiantes motivados con la propuesta didáctica que lograron autorregular sus aprendizajes, desarrollando estrategias efectivas que se tradujeron en una alta proporción de estudiantes que acreditaron las asignaturas.
Las propuestas, ideas, resultados, análisis y conclusiones presentadas en este libro apuntan a registrar trayectos innovadores que contribuyan a las necesidades de transformación y desarrollo de la sociedad actual, desde una mirada compleja del fenómeno de la educación STEM/STEAM, conscientes de la necesidad de contribuir con la transformación educativa de la sociedad en lo que se refiere a herramientas, estrategias, diseños educativos y políticas educativas, que sean el resultado de reflexiones y construcciones elaboradas a partir de trabajos de investigación, se ha trazado esta estrategia de divulgación y difusión del conocimiento en educación científica contemporánea mediante la publicación de los productos de investigación generados entorno a temáticas de educación STEM/STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics + Arts).
