Imigração, iden dade e mul culturalismo nas organizações brasileirasImmigra on, iden dy and mul culturalism in brazilian organiza ons Resumo: Este ar go problema za, com base na análise de entrevistas individuais, a iden dade do imigrante no Brasil e a forma como o mul culturalismo é abordado no país por meio das organizações de trabalho. A iden dade é entendida como uma construção social em constante transformação, acentuada no momento em que os indivíduos migram, dado o encontro com as diferenças. Essa iden dade social é composta pelos costumes e tradições de sua nação e, ao migrar, a falta dessas questões é percep vel na vida do imigrante. Como resultados, destaca-se que os mo vos para migrar hoje em dia são semelhantes aos do passado, como melhorar de vida e fugir de problemas econômicos, religiosos e sociais. No Brasil, o racismo e a exclusão social ainda são presentes mesmo que este seja um país mul cultural. Na esfera das organizações, o mul culturalismo está recém iniciando, e verifi ca-se que a diversidade é ques onada e que ainda existem preconceitos devido à diferença cultural do indivíduo. Abstract: This paper discusses, based on the analysis of individual interviews, the iden ty of the immigrant in Brazil and the way mul culturalism is approached in the country through the working organiza ons. Iden ty is understood as a social construc on in constant transforma on, accentuated at the moment when individuals migrate given the encounter with the diff erences. This social iden ty is made up of the customs and tradi ons of their na on, and when migra ng, the lack of such things is perceivable in the life of the immigrant. As a result, it stands out that the reasons for migra ng nowadays are similar to those of the past, such as improving life and ge ng away from economic, religious and social problems. In Brazil, racism and social exclusion are s ll present even if it is a mul cultural country. In the sphere of organiza ons, mul culturalism is just beginning, and it turns out that diversity is ques oned and that there are s ll prejudice due to the cultural diff erence of the individual. Résumé: Cet ar cle traite, basé sur l'analyse des entre ens individuels, l'iden té de l'immigré au Brésil et comment le mul culturalisme est abordée dans le pays par le travail des organisa ons. L'iden té est considérée comme une construc on sociale en constante transforma on, a marqué le moment où les individus migrent, comme la rencontre avec les diff érences. Ce e iden té sociale se compose des coutumes et tradi ons de leur na on et de migra on, l'absence de ces ques ons est évidente dans la vie des immigrants.
