In the oral cavity usually there is macroglossia. The case of a 78-year-old man with multiple myeloma begins with progressive tongue growth that prevents him from breathing, swallowing and producing dysphonia. Histopathological study diagnosed with secondary amyloidosis localized in a language associated with multiple myeloma. Patients who have multiple myeloma have an association with the development of a primary amyloidosis; otherwise it happens with secondary amyloidosis which are rare and stranger in the case of a localized one. It is important to recognize that the histopathological and immunohistochemical study give us the definitive diagnosis of amyloidosis and its type.
