Mediante un estudio de caso se buscó caracterizar las prácticas docentes orientadas a apoyar la escritura del proyecto de investigación de estudiantes de maestría en salud, con fuentes como la observación de clases y las entrevistas a las profesoras: dos expertas en salud y una en escritura.Se evidencia que todas ofrecen apoyos como dar lineamientos para la escritura del texto, demandar la lectura de textos modelo, comentar las versiones preliminares y promover la revisión entre pares. Sin embargo, focalizan aspectos diferentes de los textos y usan recursos distintos, contraste que puede iluminar propuestas interdisciplinarias de formación de escritura en posgrado.
En el marco de la firma del Acuerdo de Paz entre el Gobierno colombiano y las Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia – Ejército del Pueblo (FARC-EP), la Universidad del Valle implementó un programa que promueve el desarrollo de prácticas profesionales. Esto permitió a docentes y estudiantes de Terapia Ocupacional y Fonoaudiología elaborar una propuesta que se desarrolló en la ciudad de Cali con la población en proceso de reincorporación y sus familias, como parte del convenio entre la Universidad y la Agencia para la Reincorporación y la Normalización, durante el primer semestre del 2018. La experiencia tuvo el propósito de favorecer los procesos de lectura y escritura en los participantes, promoviendo su participación social y la construcción de ciudadanía. La propuesta privilegió un enfoque de construcción conjunta. Participaron diez personas adultas y seis infantes. Se realizaron cinco encuentros, en los cuales se identificaron necesidades e intereses relacionados con leer y escribir, y se construyeron de manera conjunta actividades de promoción de la lectura y la escritura a través de la poesía, el cuento y el teatro. La propuesta posibilitó un ejercicio de reconocimiento y resignificación mutua que permite la construcción de ciudadanía y de profesionales como sujetos políticos.
"Aulas Asertivas" fue una propuesta de intervernción fonoaudiológica aplicada en el colegio arquidiocesano juan pablo ll de la comuna 20 de Cali, en la que se pretendía propiciar prácticas comunicativas asertivas en los estudiantesde los grados décimo (10) y undécimo (11), con el fin de disminuir el riesgo de deserción y fracaso escolar, potencializando habilidades como hablar, escuchar, leer y escribir. Se desarrolló bajo el enfoque teórico de análisis del discurso y trabajo colaborativo, y comprendión cuatro fases: 1. Contextualización de aula, 2. Aplicación prueba pre-test, 3. Actividades de intervención y 4. Aplicación prueba po-test. Como resultado de la propuesta se encuentra, principalmente que los estudiantes participantes concibieron la lectura y la escritura como herramienas de comunicación, socialización y participación. Además se evidencian cambios significativos en los niveles de comprensión y producción textual antes y después de la intervención.
Este estudio responde a la necesidad de usar y divulgar la información del Registro de Localización y Caracterización de Personas con Discapacidad –RLCPD- en el Departamento del Valle del Cauca. El Objetivo fue caracterizar población con discapacidad mayor de 18 años 2009-2014. Se utilizó como método el estudio descriptivo de población con discapacidad mayor de 18 años reportada en el RLCPD. Incluyó variables sociodemográficas, de salud, discapacidad y participación social. Se presenta como resultados que durante el periodo analizado se reportaron 31.818 personas en los 42 municipios del Departamento, 80% residentes en cabeceras municipales. La distribución por sexo fue homogénea y el grupo con mayor concentración fue el de mayores de 60 años (n=11393). 67% reportó alguna deficiencia en estructuras o funciones; 49% limitaciones en la actividad y 87% reportó restricciones en la participación. Se evidenciaron barreras en la residencia (44.2%), en espacios públicos (49%) y en establecimientos (60%). La mayor causa de discapacidad fue la enfermedad general (32%), seguida de accidentes (12%). El uso de ayudas técnicas fue reportado por el 64% de la población registrada. Finalmente, aunque se identificó que las restricciones en la participación tienen un alto porcentaje, el 58.4% del total de la población reporta que participa en actividades familiares.
