Lannea coromandelica (Houtt.) Merr., atau dikenal sebagai Kedongdong Pagar di Indonesia, famili Anacardiaceae, Daun Kedongdong Pagar telah dibuktikan oleh warga Desa Samakurok, Kecamatan Tanah Jambo Aye, Aceh Utara, NAD, untuk menurunkan kadar glukosa darah dengan mengkonsumsi air rebusan daun kedongdong pagar. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui golongan senyawa kimia yang terkandung dalam simplisia dan ekstrak etanol daun kedongdong pagar dari hasil penapisan fitokimia. Hasil penapisan fitokimia menunjukkan bahwa senyawa kimia yang terkandung dalam simplisia dan ekstrak daun kedongdong pagar adalah flavonoid, saponin, glikosida, tanin dan steroid/triterpenoid. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, daun kedongdong pagar memiliki potensi yang besar untuk diteliti dan dikembangkan lebih lanjut menjadi salah satu sumber tanaman obat di Indonesia.
One of the plants that has been used by the community is cherry (Muntingia calabura L.) which is a lush plant, easy to breed, often on the side of the road, allowed to grow as a shade tree. Traditionally used to treat bleeding wounds, festering and burns, inflammation of the walls of blood vessels accompanied by blood clots in their channels. Fresh or dried cherry leaves are used as a medicine for wounds by finely grinding them and placing them on the wound. The use of cherry leaves directly in the treatment of wounds is not liked by the community, so they tried to formulate it in the form of cream preparations. Based on this, the researchers conducted a phytochemical screening and formulation of cherry leaf extract in cream preparations as well as tested its effectiveness for treating wounds. Extraction was carried out by percolation using 80% ethanol. Phytochemical screening was carried out on fresh leaves, simplicia, and ethanol extract of cherry leaves. And formulated into cream preparations with concentrations of 2.5%, 5% and 7.5%. The effectiveness for wound healing was carried out on artificial incisions on the back skin of male guinea pigs infected with Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. Measured decrease in wound diameter and observation of the width of the pus and the amount of edema. The results of the phytochemical screening test showed that there were the same groups of chemical compounds in fresh leaves, simplicia, and ethanol extract of cherry leaves, namely alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, triterpenoids/steroids. The greater the concentration of EEDK in the cream, the faster the wound will heal. On the 16th day, 5% EEDK; 7.5%; and gentamicin provide 100% perfect wound healing. Means that the ethanol extract of cherry leaves at a concentration of 5% has a very good ability to heal incisions infected with Staphylococcs aureus.
Ikan gabus dapat membantu mempercepat proses penyembuhan penyakit diabetes. Diabetes mellitus merupakan penyakit metabolik yang ditandai dengan gejala hiperglikemia sebagai akibat gangguan sekresi insulin dan atau meningkatnya resistensi sel terhadap insulin. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ekstrak etanol ikan gabus (Channa striata) memiliki efek yang paling efektif dalam menurunkan kadar glukosa darah. Metode : penelitian eksperimental yang diawali dengan mengekstraksi daging dan kulit ikan gabus dengan cara perkolasi, pelarut yang digunakan adalah etanol 70%, hasil yang diperoleh berupa ekstrak etanol ikan gabus. Pengujian penurunan kadar glukosa darah mencit menggunakan 30 ekor mencit dan dibagi menjadi 6 kelompok. Kelompok I (kontrol pelarut) Na CMC 0,5%, kelompok II (pembanding/glibenklamid), kelompok III (pembanding/obat herbal ), kelompok IV, V dan VI (perlakuan daging ekstrak etanol ikan gabus dosis 0,45; 0,9 dan 1,8 g/KgBB). Kadar gula darah tiap kelompok dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan metode One Way ANOVA dan uji Post-Hoc Duncan menggunakan SPSS. Hasil uji statistik kadar glukosa darah antara kelompok glibenklamid, obat herbal dan ekstrak etanol ikan gabus menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan dengan nilai α > 0,05. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak etanol ikan gabus memiliki aktivitas penurunan kadar glukosa darah mencit yang diinduksi glukosa dengan dosis efektif sebesar 1,8 g/kgBB.
Circumcision is the act of cutting to remove the entire foreskin from the penis. The frenulum of the penis can also be cut simultaneously in a procedure called a frenectomy. The word circumcision comes from the Latin circum meaning to twist and caedere meaning to cut (A Firmansyah et al,). The formulation of the problem in this study is to find out how the relationship between the influence of snakehead fish consumption on wound healing after circumcision. The research method used in this scientific paper is the grounded method, through a qualitative approach. The relationship between snakehead fish consumption and circumcision wound healing is because snakehead fish itself has a high protein content, namely albumin in snakehead fish (Nugroho, 2015). The conclusion of this study through direct observation on the sixth day is that the protein content in snakehead fish is higher than in other types of fish, the albumin content of snakehead fish reaches 6.22%.
