Local government and government agencies therein have an important role in carrying out government functions and regional development. One of the agencies within the Regional Government is the Regional Secretariat of the South Kalimantan Province. Every government agency is required to be able to optimize the performance of its employees, as well as the factors that influence it, namely work motivation, work environment and quality of communication. The research objective was to determine 1) the effect of work motivation on employee performance at the Regional Secretariat of South Kalimantan Province. 2) the effect of the Work Environment on the performance of employees at the Regional Secretariat of South Kalimantan Province. 3) the effect of the Quality of Communication on the performance of employees at the Regional Secretariat of South Kalimantan Province. 4) the effect of work motivation, work environment and quality of communication on employee performance at the Regional Secretariat of South Kalimantan Province. This research method uses a quantitative approach and is carried out on employees at the Regional Secretariat of South Kalimantan Province. The population of 342 civil servants at the Provincial Regional Secretariat who were taken as samples for research was 184 people with civil servant status at the Provincial Regional Secretariat. The research instrument used a questionnaire. While the data processing techniques used are validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test and multiple regression analysis. The statistical package for the social sciences (SPSS) 20 for Windows is used to facilitate data processing. The results of this study indicate that (1) There is a partial influence of Work Motivation on the performance of employees at the Regional Secretariat of South Kalimantan Province (2) There is a partial influence of the Work Environment on the performance of employees at the Regional Secretariat of South Kalimantan Province (3) There is a partial influence of the Quality of Communication on the performance of employees at the Regional Secretariat of South Kalimantan Province. (4) Work motivation, work environment and quality of communication have a simultaneous effect on employee performance at the Regional Secretariat of South Kalimantan Province by 59.4%. The results of this study serve as suggestions and input for leaders at the Regional Secretariat of South Kalimantan Province, to take policies and strategic steps to further increase employee motivation, create a good work environment, and build better communication quality in order to realize better employee performance in the future. Community empowerment through swallow nest cultivation is one of the efforts of the Kotabaru Regency Government to increase local revenue (PAD). This study aims to describe a strategy for community empowerment in the management of swallow nest cultivation and the supporting and inhibiting factors for implementing the strategy. This research uses the descriptive qualitative method. They were collecting data using in-depth interviews, observation, and document review. The results showed that Kotabaru Regency's Original Regional Revenue (PAD) from community empowerment through swallow nest cultivation was insignificant. The reason is that there are still many weaknesses in the implemented community empowerment strategies. Strategies applied based on SWOT analysis, namely: a) Application of SO (Strength – Opportunities) strategy, is 1. Business assistance. 2 . Protection of business objects.; b) The implementation of the WO (Weakness – Opportunities) strategy is 1. Mapping social potential participatory in developing swallow nest cultivation business; 2. Community organizing and facilitation of sustainable program setting; 3. Capacity building of the community. c) The implementation of ST (Strength – Threats) strategy is 1 . Regulatory determination; 2. Socialization of empowerment. d The application of the WT (Weaknesses – Threats) strategy is 1. Input (capital support, infrastructure, and facilities). 2. Market access for swallow nests. 3. Development of cooperation/network.
The development requires directed actions for the improvement and improvement of the quality of human life, guidelines that can provide direction in development strategies as social policies designed for the welfare of the community and the quality of life of the community in order to meet social, economic, health and other public services needs including responsibility in providing services to the poor, providing guarantees to the community so as not tofall into poverty. This study includes descriptive qualitative with the aim of analyzing the implementation of the UPPKS program in family economic empowerment in Tanah Laut Regency, explaining the factors that affect the effectiveness of groups in the program UPPKS in family economic empowerment in Tanah Laut Regency and analyzed the success of the UPPKS program in family economic empowerment in Tanah Laut Regency. Scientific qualitative research methods concoct various information from objects and subjects in social research. From 11 sub-Regency in Tanah Laut Regency, in total, there are 135 villages and sub?Regency. The factors that influence the effectiveness of groups in the UPPKS program in family economic empowerment include (1) human factors, namely the level of member participation, member commitment, and leadership influence. (2) material factors, namely the availability of raw materials, availability of packaging materials, supporting equipment, product quality, and promotional activities. (3) method factors, namely communication, deliberation and consensus, division of tasks, openness, and the existence of standard operating procedures. (4) environmental factors, namely assistance to family planning officers/extension agents, the role of local government, banking / private sector/stakeholders.
This study aims to determine how the role of human development cadres (KPM) in handling stunting and community empowerment strategies in handling stunting in Malutu Village. The method used in this research is a combination research that combines quantitative methods and qualitative methods to be used together in a research activity, so that more comprehensive, valid, reliable and objective data are obtained. Data were collected by interview, area mapping and documentation. Interviews were conducted with key figures, namely the Head of Malutu Village, Posyandu Cadres, Human Development Cadres and Village Empowerment Assistants. The results showed that the problems faced by Human Development Cadres in handling stunting in Malutu Village were that the function of cadres was not optimal, the capacity building given their time was still limited so that field supplies were not sufficient and there was no further training and lack of public awareness about the dangers of stunting. The strategy in community empowerment programs in an effort to deal with stunting in Malutu Village is the strategy of SO or strength and opportunity. SO strategy is a strategy that is determined to get optimal effort. After knowing and taking advantage of the strengths, we can take full advantage of the opportunities that exist. Community empowerment strategies that can be carried out are using the available budget for optimal stunting management, increasing the capacity of human resources through support from the Hulu Sungai Selatan District Government and establishing communication between actors and making joint work plans in handling stunting.
Family empowerment is a process or effort that aims to increase families' awareness of and willingness to care for their health. The purpose of this study was to determine, examine, and analyze family empowerment and the factors that inhibit it in patients with severe mental disorders in Banjarmasin City, Indonesia, in 2021. This study employed qualitative methods to elicit descriptive data in a written or spoken form from individuals and observed behavior to gain a better understanding of field phenomena through the collection of data or information obtained directly. At the Banjarmasin City Health Office, data were gathered through interviewing, documenting, and collecting secondary data. Interviews were conducted with key stakeholders, including families of patients with mental disorders, patients with mental disorders, and puskesmas mental health program management officers. The findings indicated that family empowerment was still suboptimal in patients with severe mental disorders; families lacked knowledge about caring for patients, impeding the healing process properly.
