PurposeThis study examines the influence of spiritual leadership toward spirituality, conscientiousness, job satisfaction and reduction of deviant behavior.Design/methodology/approachThe method of data analysis used is a structural model based on WarpPLS (Solimun et al., 2017), with the first-order factor analysis based on variables with reflective indicators.FindingsThe research findings indicate that the sustainability of workplace spirituality and conscientiousness can stimulate the employees' job satisfaction, which eventually leads to the reduction of workplace deviant behavior (WDB). Accordingly, the direct influence of workplace spirituality on WDB is quite major ( 0.296), this indicates the importance of workplace spirituality for employees in working so that it can reduce the WDB. Conscientiousness had a negative influence on WDB. However, the interesting part about this study is the indirect influence of workplace spirituality on WDB through job satisfaction, which also has a major value ( 0.208) and almost equal to the direct influence. This circumstance depicts how workplace spirituality influences WDB as well as the importance of the improvement of employees' job satisfaction.Originality/valueThe originality of this study is primarily placed on the causal relationship between the variables of spiritual leadership and WDB; other than the direct influence, there is also an indirect influence that has a big value, which is the path of spiritual leadership toward WDB through workplace spirituality (−0.248). In other words, WDB is not only influenced directly by spiritual leadership but also by workplace spirituality.

Info Artikel IMPROVING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF STUDY PROGRAMS AT PRIVATE UNIVERSITIES THROUGH INTEGRATIVE ADAPTIVE LEADERSHIP Abstract The objective of the research is to develop a conceptual model of the basic theory of resolution leadership and conflict, to observe the influence of job satisfaction, commitment and organizational effectiveness. It is an empirical study to test the relationship of the variables
This study seeks to examine empirically the effect of leadership style on organizational commitment and organizational effectiveness. The data are from all departments of the undergraduate program at the State University in Central Java, Indonesia. The study comprises all divisions of the undergraduate program, which amounted to 207 people. The method for sampling is based on simple random sampling. Structural equation modeling (SEM) is applied in order to analyze the data. The results show that integrative adaptive leadership style has a positive effect on teamwork and affective commitment. Therefore, in order to improve teamwork, the organization should be assisted in completing the introduction of collaborative conflict resolution. Moreover, affective commitment positively affects organizational effectiveness. Thus, it can be said that efforts to improve the organizational effectiveness, should be supported by affective commitment. The study further revealed that integrative adaptive leadership style has a positive effect on teamwork. This means better execution of integrative adaptive leadership, higher level of coordination and vice versa. Each member has different responsibilities and duties, and it can be done or resolved in different ways. If the leader can accommodate the creativity of the faculty and staff, a solid team can be formed.
The role of this research is to get a clearer picture of how remuneration system influence lecturer and employee performance moderates by motivation, specifically in the state universities. This study commenced in 3 major state universities in Central Java Indonesia in order to have Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) method was applied to examine and analyse the relationships between determinants. The results of this study show that ‘performance feedback’ has negative effect on ‘competence’; the relationship between ‘competence’ and ‘motivation’ is negative;‘remuneration’ positively affects ‘motivation’; the greater the level of remuneration, the greater the level of working performance intention in the institutions’;and there is positive and significant relationship between ‘motivation’ and ‘performance intention’. The study provides the importance of how the remuneration system can be applicated as one focal scheme to enhance instituions performance in general, especially applied to college.
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Return on Equity, Firm Size, Debt Equity Ratio and Price Earning Ratio on return defensive stocks with Dividend Policy as Variable Moderation in Manufacturing Companies. The study population was manufacturing sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2015 to 2018. There were 61 companies sampled using purposive sampling techniques. The analytical method uses multiple linear analysis and moderated Regression analysis. The results showed the Firm Size variable had a significant positive effect and the DER variable had no significant positive effect while the ROE and PER variables had no significant negative effect on return defensive stocks. The MRA test states that the Dividend Payout Ratio variable strengthens the effect of Firm Size on return defensive stocks while the ROE, DER and PER variables are weakened by the effect on return defensive stocks by dividend policy. Future studies are expected to use other variables that might increase or decrease stock returns.
This study aims to analyze the effect of financial literacy, return and risk on investment interests in the capital market members of Forum KSPM Kota Semarang with investment research as a moderating variable. This research uses structural equation model analysis with WarpPLS 6.0 to evaluate the relationship between variables and the effect of moderation on investor investment training with financial literacy, return, risk, and investment interest by conducting a survey of 113 respondents who were successfully collected. The results of this study confirm previous findings that financial literacy has a positive effect on investment interest, returns have a positive effect on investment interest, and risk has a positive effect on investment interest. Researchers also found that investment training could not moderate the effect of financial literacy on investment interest, but investment training could moderate the effect of return and risk on investment training.
Financial literacy and behavioural biases are critical factors that influence investment-decision making individual investors. This study aims to identify financial literacy relationships and behavioural biases (overconfidence, representativeness, and illusion of control) which can lead to irrational behaviour in investment decision making. The population in this research data is individual investors who are on Java. Based on the purposive sampling method, the sample was 83 respondents through a questionnaire. The data obtained, passed the validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, and multiple regression analysis to test the hypothesis. Hypothesis testing concludes that financial literacy has a negative effect on behavioural biases, meaning increasing financial literacy, so individual investors are increasingly objective in making investment decisions, and will reduce behavioural biases.
Franchising is one of the most trustworthy strategic alliance formations to start or expand businesses. Like many other business formations, franchise businesses need sustainable and long-term running; these objectives can be reached by a proper relationship between partners – the franchisor and the franchisee – in the alliances. Both partners’ perspectives are valuable inputs to provide insight into understanding the sustainability of Indonesian franchise businesses. Furthermore, in any type of strategic alliances conflict is a risk that needs to be managed properly. This study aims to examine the relationships of determinants that influence franchise business sustainability. The determinants are risk management, trust, satisfaction, and sustainability. The study applies confirmatory factor analysis using structural equation modeling (SEM) AMOS software. Respondents in this study are franchisors and franchisees in the Indonesian retail and food and beverages (F&B) sectors, the study accommodates 204 respondents. Based on the analysis the study reveals that there is a positive relationship between risk management and satisfaction. Risk management also has a positive relationship with survivability; trust and satisfaction also have a positive relationship. Meanwhile, there is no relationship between satisfaction and survivability and the last relationship is between trust and survivability that has no positive relationship between the determinants. This study provides clearer insight to understand the relationships between determinants that influence franchise business survivability in Indonesia, especially based on both parties’ perspectives.
