SummaryAn oximeter (MouseOx) has been developed for use on small laboratory rodents. The device was validated against an Instrumentation Laboratory IL-682 CO-Oximeter on blood samples (N=83) from five rats. The goal was to assess accuracy of measured S p O 2 values, particularly at very low saturation values. There is a linear relationship (y = 1.01 x + 0.11; R 2 = 0.98) between S p O 2 values measured from the MouseOx and those measured from the IL-682.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
