As a consequence of the accelerated technological developments (artificial intelligence, robots, automation, quantum computing etc.) that humankind has developed over the latest decades, inquiries about the impact of these powerful technologies and digitalization over professional work have emerged in the business and academic spheres. Since digital transformation involves, among others, giving rise to new ways of sharing practical expertise and leading organizations, it has strong implications on leadership practice, in terms of new styles, skills, competences and other capabilities needed to implement this change and to successfully navigate organizations through the new wave of technological disruption. Against this backdrop, the aim of this paper is to identify patterns and trends across professions in general and how they were transformed by technology. In addition, the paper explores how executives prepare for the new world of work and which leadership styles are on the brink of fundamental change and are particularly relevant for the digital world.
This research paper proposes an analysis of the most important and most current forms of new diplomacy namely public diplomacy. Mainly, based on qualitative research methods, the authors turn their attention towards the "first digital revolution" in the Arab world through social networks-Facebook and Twitter, now recognized as important tools for social media, which managed to expose freedom of expression as a fundamental democratic principle of the revolution in Egypt. The final study of this paper emphasizes the role of public diplomacy in Egypt in the context of technology, especially the impact of the internet in the mobilizations which were aimed at changing the political and social life, relying on the challenges and opportunities of both social networks considered engines of information and communication mechanisms. This paper has attempted to highlight the roles played by the main actors on the stage of the revolution, research reaching the final point in the critical moment after the presidential election. The main limitation of this research is the lack of native Arabic, and a study of public diplomacy practiced in Egypt can be improved by interpreting Arabic script on social media platforms. The relationship between faith and diplomacy is becoming more visible and its role is growing in political and diplomatic contexts.
IntroductionSince 2015, the European Union is facing the greatest crisis in its history of over 65 years of building policy, based on solidarity, safety and welfare for the countries that accepted the EU membership. The wave of immigrants has had a sudden entry into the EU space raising many questions on the lax policies of the European Union on border security and ensuring the well-being of the European population (be it indigenous or resulting from migration). Moreover, the refugees' issue caused a shortcircuit in the European space, also bringing a AbstractThis scientific article tries to analyze the impact that the refugee crisis had on the EU's economic diplomacy. The paper shows which is the current state of economic diplomacy, stressing that the issue of mass migration to Europe is not of demographic nature, but of spiritual, cultural and civilizational nature , in other words, it is a crisis of fundamental values on which the European project was built. Based on a scientific methodology based primarily on a qualitative analysis, the authors find that European economic diplomacy must get together with diplomacy refugees, a new form of diplomacy (without a structured framework) which refers to the national frame, European frame and international border control and migration legislation, which is most often exercised not by real diplomats but by ministers or commissioners interested in immigration, internal or external control. Thus, this paper seeks to answer the following questions: To what extent can we talk about a relaxed policy of the European economic diplomacy regarding the management of the refugee crisis? What is the European Union's future after the passage of migratory flows? What is Romania's position?
