We studied low cost Internet of Things (IoT) systems with displays regarding microprocessor (μP) interfaces (parallel or serial). An evaluation was made by comparing status indicators, character and graphics display regarding Human Machine Interfaces (HMI). We also measured and compared displays ambient lighting performance in typical IoT environments.
The perceived image quality of curved displays depends significantly on viewing angle degradations. We developed a toolset for characterizing and simulation these degradations.
Measurements of reflection characteristic are usually done by BRDF. We evaluated successfully a method by using an imaging colorimeter and a small light source, both at fixed position.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
