A hiperidrose é uma patologia associada à produção em excesso de suor, devido a disfunção das glândulas sudoríparas. Existem diversas formas de tratamento, as quais, por diferentes razões, possuem problemas associadas. Recentemente, tem-se difundido o uso da Toxina Botulínica como forma de tratamento, por ser um procedimento minimamente invasivo, com baixa possibilidade de efeitos colaterais, e duração razoável dos resultados. Dessa forma, este estudo teve como objetivo avaliar a eficácia da aplicação da toxina botulínica em casos de hiperidrose, bem como seu impacto positivo em relação a outras formas de tratamento. Para tanto, foi realizada uma revisão integrativa de literatura, por meio da sistematização de 16 estudos, os quais foram publicados nos últimos 5 anos, em língua portuguesa e inglesa. Os resultados encontrados permitiram a realização da discussão acerca de aspectos acerca da fisiopatologia da hiperidrose, a ação da toxina botulínica e seu uso no tratamento da hiperidrose. Concluiu-se que a toxina botulínica possui um potencial terapêutico relevante no tratamento da hiperidrose
