O presente texto visa compreender os fundamentos epistêmicos da formação do pensamento científico relacionados à pesquisa e ao ensino de ciências, considerando o “erro” como um indicador e analisador dos processos intelectuais, capaz de apontar o limite da cognição, além de sinalizar avanços e dificuldades. O estudo é de natureza fenomenológica e os dados são provenientes do desenvolvimento de uma oficina que objetivou identificar as percepções dos professores e alunos acerca da temática. Deste modo, evidencia-se a importância da discussão filosófica, no que diz respeito à necessidade de ressignificação da ideia de “erro”, por meio de atitudes colaborativas, centradas na figura do aluno como o sujeito do processo de ensino e aprendizagem e no professor como o mediador do conhecimento.Palavras-chave: Erro.
