RESUMOA Síndrome Congênita do Vírus Zika (SCVZ) acometeu, entre 2015 e 2018, 3.226 crianças em todo Brasil. Estas crianças nasceram com um padrão de múltiplas deficiências, incluindo déficits visuais, auditivos, motores e cognitivos. Passados três anos desde o início da epidemia, acentua-se a necessidade de discutir sobre sua inclusão escolar, uma vez que, em virtude dos agravos ocasionados pela Síndrome, o suporte social e educacional especializado é imprescindível. O objetivo do presente estudo é apresentar os resultados de uma investigação acerca dos desafios e possibilidades da docência a crianças com a SCVZ, sob a ótica de duas professoras atuantes na Educação Infantil da rede pública de ensino de Pernambuco. Utilizamos como instrumento de investigação um total de cinco entrevistas semiestruturadas. Os resultados obtidos neste estudo apontam que os principais fatores que dificultam a inclusão de crianças com a SCVZ, reconhecidos pelas docentes são: as más condições na estrutura física da escola e a falta de conhecimento das especificidades da Síndrome. Porém, ao longo da pesquisa, quando continuavam a prospectar sobre o futuro, as profissionais consideram que diante da situação de lecionar para crianças com a SCVZ, promoveriam situações de inclusão, a partir do uso de materiais concretos, coloridos e de texturas. The interest in breasts in our society can hardly escape the attention of even a casual observer. It has been found that women with larger breasts than the average were considered to be more physically attractive and have greater social outcomes.Some women consider themselves less beautiful or feminine because of the lack of “ideal” size and shape. This feeling of inadequacy may lead to lowered levels of self-esteem and sexuality.Although not extensively researched, psychologic factors have attributed to the dramatic increase in the number of performed breast augmentation procedures. As this number continues to rise it is important that healthcare providers comprehend the degree to sexuality may affect their patients’ outcomes.This review is designed to provide an overview of the psychological and sexuality literature on cosmetic breast augmentation. It seems to exist a positive effect of breast augmentation surgery on woman's sexuality, as well in other psychological aspects. This relation need to be explored further in future studies.
The purpose of this article is to explore the self meaning-making in people who underwent bariatric surgery to reduce their weight. Guided by the narrative approach, we apply the concept of position to understand the meaning-making process about the self. Two adults who underwent bariatric surgery at a hospital in the Metropolitan Region of Recife are part of the study. Narrative interviews were used as a technique and positioning analysis was the analytical strategy employed. We suggest the research participants position themselves as obese people who are socially constrained, who feel inadequate about how they look, who cannot dance, who cannot wear certain clothes; (2) thereby they reaffirme the dominant narrative of the slim contour as “the norm”; (3) for the research participants, the bariatric surgery served as a tool of empowerment that promotes a transformation in their sense of self from being at the margins to feeling a sense of social belonging and personal acceptance.
