This study aims to analyze the moral development of class X SMA Negeri 9 Pontianak. The method used is descriptive method with survey. The population study was 183 people with a sample of 35 students of class X SMA Negeri 9 Pontianak. The data technique use direct communication and indirect. Data aids using questionnaires and interviews. The results are in the moral development of class X students of SMA Negeri 9 Pontianak showing a fairly high category, namely the proportion of 72.46% according to the three existing aspects. The level of pre-conventional moral development in the category of "Low", the proportion of 58.57% with the orientation of the orientation and relative instruments, the conventional category of the "High enough" proportion of 71.70% with the orientation of agreement between personal and law and order orientation, Postconventional category of the proportion of "Very High" 91 , 08% with a legality contact orientation and a universal ethical principle orientation.Keywords: Perkembangan Moral
Study habit is key to the success of the learning process. The study habit can be obtained when students have the intention to do so. Generally, the intention arises from repeated actions. In the TUTEP training class, the habits of the students during the training program can determine the test result. Thus, this study aims to examine the effect of study habits among the students or trainees on increasing their TUTEP scores. A descriptive-correlation method was used to describe the positive day-to-day habits that the trainees did to increase their TUTEP scores. The study involved respondents who attended the TUTEP training class and obtained a significant improvement in their TUTEP score before and after participating in the training. The main instrument in this study was the Palsane and Sharma Study Habit Inventory (Looyeh et al., 2017). The instrument has eight sub-scales of study habits. The results indicated that the significant test obtained was a ttest value of 0.738, where the ttest value was greater than ttable (0.738 0.254). In other words, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between study habits and increased TUTEP scores of the trainees. Furthermore, based on the highest average value (mean) of study habits which was obtained from respondents, three indicators yielded the highest scores, namely the exam (4.66), the health (4.59), and the time management indicators (4.36).
Persaingan global yang semakin ketat menuntut setiap bangsa untuk terus meningkatkan kualitas bangsanya. Salah satu bentuknya adalah melalui pengembangan kualitas guru yang nantinya menjadi role model bagi cikal bakal penerus bangsa. Para guru harus selalu memperbaharui kemampuan diri dengan berbagai jenis kemampuan, misalnya bahasa Inggris. Sebab, ada banyak sumber pengajaran yang tersedia di internet namun disampaikan dalam bahasa Inggris. Oleh karena itu, kami berinisiasi untuk melaksanakan Program Pelatihan Bahasa Inggris untuk guru-guru yang berada di Kabupaten Mempawah. Pelatihan ini bernama Pengembangan Profesi Guru. Program ini bertujuan untuk mempersiapkan dan memberikan pengalaman langsung kepada guru-guru daerah di Kabupaten Mempawah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa Inggri mereka. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan oleh tim PKM yang terdiri dari Dosen Bahasa Inggris dalam bentuk pelatihan yang berlangsung sebanyak 12 kali pertemuan dan dan post test sebanyak 1 kali pertemuan. Kami berharap program ini dapat memberikan dampak positif dan signifikan terhadap perkembangan dunia pendidikan, khususnya Kabupaten Mempawah.
This study aimed to evaluate the English for Economics textbook used for the first year students of Economics Faculty of Tanjungpura University in Indonesia. It tried to find out the extent to which unit of work reflects the task-based approach to language teaching. It also attempted to investigate relevance of materials to meet the learners’ needs and the goals of the programme in the target situations. The evaluation was conducted as this teacher-generated material has not yet been evaluated. One unit from the textbook was analysed based on Littlejohn’s (1998) framework. The findings indicated that the activities in the English for Economics textbook failed to provide adequate skills for learners to use the language in performing the task. Therefore, it is difficult for the materials to meet the learners’ needs and goals of the programme in the target situations.
