A trombose é considerada uma doença multifatorial, que acontece quando existe algum desequilíbrio da hemostasia sanguínea. A hemostasia, que nada mais é, uma resposta fisiológica normal do corpo para prevenção e interrupção de sangramento e hemorragias, se mantém por meio de mecanismos regulatórios o sangue em seu estado fluido, no interior dos vasos sanguíneos, e garantir-se o suprimento sanguíneo em todas as partes do organismo, para impedir a ocorrência de hemorragias e outras complicações, resultando assim no bloqueio de qualquer lesão vascular. Alerta-se que o uso de estrógenos ou pílulas anticoncepcionais são fatores de risco a se considerar quanto à ativação inapropriada dos processos hemostáticos normais. Evidencia-se que essa relação pode ser explicada devido aos estrógenos e progestágenos diminuírem a capacidade de coagulação sanguínea e aumentarem assim a capacidade pró-coagulante da cascata de coagulação. Portanto, o presente artigo busca correlacionar a incidência de trombose na população feminina com o uso contínuo dos contraceptivos hormonais. Pois, conforme a pesquisa realizada por Silva; TOLEDO, um percentual significativo de mulheres que fazem o uso do anticoncepcional oral, adquiriram trombose ao longo dos anos.
As grades computacionais foram construídas para servirem de infra-estrutura para o aumento da potência computacional. Elas evoluíram no sentido de formarem comunidades de livre ingresso para compartilhamento de potência computacional sobre a Internet e ganharam o título de grades entre-pares (P2P). Note que o fato de qualquer usuário poder ingressar e sair livremente de um sistema, pode torná-lo suscetível a danos causados por usuários trapaceiros. Uma solução para este problema é aplicar técnicas de tolerância a sabotagem, que geralmente são baseadas em replicação para estimar a corretude da computação. Este trabalho aborda escalonamento tolerante a sabotagem em grades P2P e demonstra que é possível obter altos níveis de confiabilidade para os resultados da computação, minimizando custos de replicação por meio do emprego de tolerância a faltas baseada em credibilidade no escalonamento de tarefas.
