O presente artigo busca rever a trajetória de Michael f. d. Young (1971; 2000; 2008; 2010; 2011, 2014) para discutir a significação da seleção do conhecimento escolar. Tal proposta tensiona o debate do conhecimento escolar à luz da teoria política, a partir da discussão de antagonismo empreendida por Ernesto Laclau e seus interlocutores (2000; 2005). Com essa tessitura teórica, o artigo defende a relação entre o conhecimento escolar e uma abordagem da teoria política que valorizar a função epistemológica da escola, em tempos de reformas curriculares em escala nacional.
O presente trabalho buscou problematizar os sentidos de “democracia” nas edições do Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio (Enem). O objetivo deste trabalho se insere no atual contexto educacional e político do país, em que as garantias dos direitos civis estão ameaçadas e em que consideramos necessário, na posição de docentes da Educação Básica e do Ensino Superior, discutir as disputas pela significação/validação da categoria “democracia” dentro de uma política curricular nacional avaliativa de acesso aos cursos de graduação. A fundamentação teórica se construiu no intenso debate entre a teoria do discurso e a teoria política, a partir de Ernesto Laclau e seus interlocutores. O procedimento metodológico de análise dos itens do Enem observou a estrutura e a proposta de gabarito da questão, indicando como as significações de “democracia” possibilitaram ou não produções de subjetividades ativas. Em linhas gerais, nossas reflexões foram construídas a partir dos discursos produzidos sobre a categoria “democracia” dentro das questões referentes ao tema da Ditadura Civil-Militar (1964-1985) nas edições de 2009 até 2017. A hipótese inicial deste trabalho observou que a democracia é uma potente metáfora para conjugar conteúdos voltados para formação cidadã, ainda pouco explorada pelo exame. Em termos de conclusão, destacamos que o conceito de “democracia” ficou mais restrito a uma concepção tradicional de direito ao voto, mobilizando poucos outros sentidos. Ao mesmo tempo, constatamos que o Enem reforçou a produção de discursos que tenderam a antagonizar o período da Ditadura Civil-Militar com o período da história política do país que se inicia em 1985, apresentando poucos eixos conectivos entre tais momentos históricos.
Esta entrevista foi realizada durante contextos políticos conturbados tanto na Inglaterra quanto no Brasil. Enquanto nos trópicos vivenciamos tempos-espaços de reformas e instabilidades político-econômicas, o Reino Unido experimenta a incerteza do futuro “Brexit”. A entrevista com Dr. David Lambert aconteceu no dia 18 de maio de 2017, na Universidade de Londres (Institute of Education, UCL). Os corredores das salas do Departamento de Currículo Pedagogia e Avaliação vêm testemunhando mudanças, proposições e alternativas, particularmente no âmbito do currículo, há mais de quatro décadas. Nesta entrevista, David Lambert nos apresenta a dinâmica curricular na Inglaterra e, em particular, defende “a virada do conhecimento”, como abordagem que resgata a potencialidade da organização curricular por disciplinas e o protagonismo do oficio docente, afastando-se assim de uma perspectiva conservadora, da educação tradicional. Para tanto, ele sustentou seu argumento a partir da categoria de “conhecimento poderoso” de Michael Young, em que se baseia na função epistemológica da escola e seus desdobramentos para a justiça social.
Este texto objetiva narrar as minhas lembranças docentes, com foco na concepção corpo-território como um dispositivo curricular que se alicerça numa interpretação política e estética. Para tanto, procuro fazer com que as geografias feministas (MASSEY, 2004, 2008; ZARAGOCÍN, 2018) conversem com a reflexão curricular. Tais articulações teóricas têm o intuito de potencializar a concepção corpo-território (HERNÁNDEZ, 2016) como ferramenta de teorizações curriculares (MILLER, 2014). A aposta deste texto na relação corpo-território, em especial na geopolítica do útero, está na concepção de um currículo de resistência.
