In this paper the control method of LIM which lead to optimal control characteristic of motor such as thrust, flux and current has been proposed. The performance of the proposed DTFC method has been analyzed with considering End-Effect. To evaluate and approve improved controlling characteristics, the results of the DTFC method have been compared with the results obtained from Indirect Vector Control (IVC). IVC is one of the conventional control methods for LIM. The obtained results from MATLAB/Simulink show that the DTFC control method with considering End-Effect in comparison with the IVC has caused increase response time of speed about 50%. Also it has led to a considerable reduction in FORCER thrust ripples amplitude about 25%. The most important feature of DTFC method is its performance robustness against the End-Effect phenomena.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
