Este artigo apresenta alguns resultados obtidos pela realização de um projeto de extensão universitária que foi realizado no município de Catanduvas – Paraná, cujo principal objetivo era o de articular a Matemática e a Informática visando contribuir para a melhoria das condições de cidadania, emprego, renda e acesso às instituições de ensino superior, por parte de alunos que cursavam o ensino médio. Relata a utilização do software Wiris Editor utilizado em um curso disponibilizado no ambiente Moodle criado para atender os alunos do projeto.
Resumo. Este artigo apresenta um processo heurístico de otimização para funções reais, que simula o comportamento de uma espécie de formiga à procura de alimentos, processo conhecido como Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) ou Ant System (AS). Esta espécie de formiga é caracterizada por uma estratégia de caça onde cada indivíduo demarca pequenas regiões de busca em torno da colônia, de modo a cobrir todo o espaço em torno da mesma. Além disso, a colônia é mudada periodicamente de lugar à medida que o alimento se torna escasso, o que significa que a pesquisa é feita tanto local quanto globalmente na região que cerca tal colô-nia. Em experimentos realizados com algumas funções reais clássicas utilizadas para testes o algoritmo mostrou um excelente desempenho fornecendo sempre uma solução idêntica ou melhor do que a solução obtida por outros algoritmos similares. IntroduçãoApesar de todas as pesquisas já realizadas, encontrar um método determinístico que determine o ótimo global de uma função é uma tarefa que ainda está sem solução. Por causa disso, as pesquisas têm se voltado para os métodos não-determinísticos (ver [3]), que procuram o ponto extremo de uma função geralmente tentando imitar um fenômeno da natureza. O funcionamento destes métodos geralmente permite fugir de ótimos locais, o que dá grandes chances de que seja obtida uma solução próxima do ótimo global. Esses métodos são dotados de regras especiais, que advêm do fato de imitarem fenômenos naturais, que fazem com que eles não sejam um simples processo aleatório, mas sim uma forma de pesquisa simples e inteligente na busca de soluções para os mais variados tipos de problema. Neste trabalho será apresentado um algoritmo para o processo Ant System, conforme será descrito nos itens a seguir.

O trabalho apresenta os resultados de um experimento que teve como objetivo avaliar um possível declínio da infiltração de água em uma calçada construída com pavers. Uma calçada deste tipo de material geralmente é feita com peças justapostas e os vãos existentes entre eles são preenchidos com areia. As amostras apresentadas neste trabalho foram obtidas para três tipos de areia, relativamente ao tamanho máximo de seus grãos, sendo que a classificação foi feita por meio de peneiramento. O experimento foi realizado na cidade de Cascavel, Paraná, onde o solo é do tipo Latossolo Vermelho Distroférrico. Para os três tratamentos realizados a análise dos dados mostrou que este sistema de calçada perde grande parte da sua eficiência em um curto período de tempo
Propriedades agrícolas têm necessidade de melhor planejamento da distribuição de tubulações utilizadas para irrigação e, ainda, de racionalização de estradas para veículos. Por isso, este trabalho está subdividido em dois objetivos: o primeiro consiste em determinar por onde deve passar uma rede de tubos, destinada à ligação de diversos pontos em uma área de cultivo, a fim de minimizar a quantidade de tubos; o segundo consiste em encontrar, nesta área, o menor caminho para a passagem de um veículo, que deve visitar os pontos citados, contidos em um projeto agrícola para uma propriedade rural, situada no noroeste do Paraná. Estes problemas foram resolvidos, usando-se recursos da teoria dos grafos. O primeiro, por meio de uma árvore geradora mínima e, o segundo, por meio de um algoritmo para o problema do caixeiro viajante. As soluções destes problemas mostraram que o produtor poderia ter usado 139,4 metros a menos de tubos, em relação ao sistema já implantado, bem como um caminho com 65,3 metros a menos, em relação ao caminho ora utilizado.
