Objetivo: Verificar a presença de material remanescente (cimento endodôntico, cone de guta-percha, cimento resinoso e pino de fibra de vidro) após reintervenção endodôntica utilizando broca de Largo e instrumento reciprocante. Material e Método: Trinta e seis dentes unirradiculares foram selecionados. Os canais radiculares foram padronizados em 16 mm, instrumentados e obturados. Os espécimes foram distribuídos em dois grupos, de acordo com a utilização do pino de fibra de vidro: Grupo I - sem pino de fibra de vidro e Grupo II - com pino de fibra de vidro. No Grupo I, a reintervenção foi realizada com instrumento reciprocante (R50; Reciproc Blue). No Grupo II foi realizada a perfuração do pino de fibra de vidro com broca Largo nº 3, anteriormente à utilização do instrumento reciprocante. Os dentes foram clivados com cinzel e martelo e fotografados com microscópio digital. As imagens geradas foram analisadas para verificar a quantidade de material que permaneceu aderida à area total do canal radicular e nos terços radiculares. A normalidade dos dados foi avaliada pelo teste de Kolmorogov e Smirnov. Os testes de Man-Whitney e Kruskal-Wallis foram aplicados para verificar a diferença entre os grupos e entre os terços. O teste de Comparações Múltiplas de Dunn foi utilizado para identificar as diferenças detectadas. Resultados: Não houve diferença significante entre os Grupos I e II (p>0,05). Não houve diferença significante entre os terços radiculares, independente do grupo experimental (p>0,05). Conclusões: Ambos os grupos apresentaram material remanescente aderido às paredes do canal radicular. Não houve diferença entre os grupos experimentais.
