Abstract. Strategic planning with a focus on world-class university status is an option that cannot be avoided by universities today to survive and succeed in competition as a provider of higher education. The objective of this research is to obtain exploratory research results on the strategic plans of universities that are prepared to generate world-class university status. This research utilised exploratory qualitative research method and data was collected by in-depth interviews method. Interview transcripts were analyzed by using thematic content analysis through NVivo software analysis and manual systems. The main finding of interview shows that most interviewees agreed that UNIMA has been engaged in strategic planning. Contribution from faculties and schools are acknowledged and inform the planning process. However, a new model of strategic planning should be adopted by UNIMA due to the shift towards a "corporate university". The finding results from documents, literature review and interview were the addition of world-class university characteristics and features to current strategic planning of UNIMA and how to upgrade by considering to use the characteristics and features towards world-class university.
The research problem is related to the economic welfare of coastal communities who are fishermen. The fundamental thing of this research is that poverty from the fishermen's household community is thought to be caused by inability to manage income and lack of horizontal relations between fellow communities. So that underlies various research findings, providing space for the concept of economic literacy and social capital can explain its influence on the economic welfare of the community. This research generally attempts to produce new methods and theories and policies in addressing the problems of coastal communities.This study aims to: 1). Analyzing and explaining partially the influence of economic literacy and social capital on the economic welfare of coastal communities; and 2). Analyze and explain simultaneously the influence of economic literacy and social capital on the economic welfare of coastal communities. The population in this study were all coastal communities (fishing communities) in North Minahasa Regency,North Sulawesi province,Indonesia. Number of samples from the calculation through the formula of Daniel and Terrel obtained 100 respondents. Sampling using purposive sampling technique. And data analysis using multiple regression, with SPSS application. The findings of this study indicate that: 1). economic literacy has a significant effect on economic prosperity; 2). social capital has a significant effect on economic welfare; 3). economic literacy and social capital have a significant effect on economic prosperity
This study aims to determine the partial effect of service quality and price perceptions on customer buying decisions; and the simultaneous influence of service quality and price perception on customer buying decisions at Alfamart Tataaran II Minahasa. This research applied a quantitative approach with a survey method. The population comprised consumers who have made purchases at Alfamart Tataaran II Minahasa. The research sample consisted of 150 respondents selected by accidental sampling. The data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed by multiple regression. The findings reveal a significant effect of service quality on customer buying decisions, a positive and significant influence on price perceptions on customer buying decisions, and a collective positive influence and significant service quality and price perceptions on customer decisions.
This research aims to determine the source of education funding and the magnitude of the influence of these sources of educational funding on student learning outcomes. The expected benefits from this research include practical benefits, which can serve as a reference for readers and become a means for this research to explore economic education theories, and theoretical benefits as inputs for Education Office. This research used a descriptive method with correlational techniques, in which the data collected were analyzed with a correlation formula. The population was all students who received BKM (Bantuan Keluarga Miskin or Poor Family Assistance) scholarships, and the sample was taken from the entire population. The research results showed that students’ average potential was satisfactory, and education funding significantly influenced student achievement. Apart from the education funding factors, learning achievement is also determined by other factors, such as student perseverance.
