Smart technologies are currently trending in the Indian construction industry for management. One such technology is Building Information Modeling (BIM). This research talks about fourth and fifth dimensions of BIM and its applications. In the present study, two methods of material take-offs are compared, Manual Material Take-Offs and Digital Material Take-Offs. Here, the case study of an industrial project is considered, located in Surat City. Focus is given on three major construction materials: cement, sand, and aggregates. Manual Material Take-Off is estimated using physical plans and Excel sheets, while for Digital Material Take-Off number of software are used like Revit, Primavera, and Navisworks Manage. Based on the result, it can be judged that Digital Material Take-Off is more accurate compared to Manual Material Take-Off. In addition to this, BIM has added advantages of time and cost management, information management, faster decision making, etc.
