ResumoSabe-se que a Covid-19 incitou mudanças biopsicossociais na sociedade mundial e, no contexto dos profissionais de saúde se discute o possível desencadeamento no aumento de transtornos mentais junto aos estudantes de medicina. Este estudo objetiva elucidar o impacto da pandemia da Covid-19 quanto aos aspectos da saúde mental dos estudantes de medicina. Foi realizada uma revisão narrativa de literatura, ancorada nas bases de dados Google Scholar, Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), PubMEd e Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde, utilizando-se os descritores: saúde mental, estudante de medicina, pandemia, Covid-19, publicados em português e inglês, ao longo do ano de 2020. Foram colecionados 40 artigos, selecionados 14, sendo que destes, 09 foram utilizados. As análises sugerem que os principais transtornos mentais observados são ansiedade, depressão, estresse e medo, muitas vezes relacionados com a incerteza da formação, em função do cenário vigente. Este cenário conturbado, instituído pelas condutas tomadas em relação ao cenário pandêmico, gerou inseguranças quanto à formação médica, levando a uma maior incidência de universitários com a saúde mental debilitada. AbstractCovid-19 incited biopsychosocial changes in world society, which trigger an increase mental disorders in medical students. The study aims to clarify the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the medical students’ mental health. A bibliographic review was carried out on the Google Scholar, Scientific, Electronic Library Online (SciELO), PubMEdand Virtual Health Library databases, using the descriptors: mental health, medical student, pandemic, covid-19, published in Portuguese and English, in 2020. 40 articles were selected, 14 of which 09 were used. The materials show that the main mental disorders observed are anxiety, depression, stress and fear, many times related to training uncertainty due to the current cenario. This troubled scenario caused by Covid-19 increased mental disorders in medical students due to the insecurity of how the pandemic affects medical education and training, leading to a higher incidence of university students with impaired mental health.
