The purpose of the study was to analyze the use of WhatsApp messaging as one of mobile learning on students' errors in writing recount texts with the theme "COVID 19" at SMP Negeri 4 Satu Atap Kuala, Indonesia. This research conducted Junior High School as population of 108 students in the eighth grade. Sample taken use random sampling, reduced of 27 students. The research method used is descriptive-quantitative method. Results showed that four types of writing errors are omissions, additions, misinformation, and sequence errors. The most common types of errors in writing recount text are omission errors of 3.5% and addition errors of 1%. Misinformation with 88.5% errors. And the last ordering error with 7% error. By doing this research, it is hoped that students can practice more and improve their writing skills, especially in recount texts.
The rapid development of technology has increased the demand for information technology-based learning media, which is becoming increasingly necessary. E-Learning, also known as information technology-based learning media, is changing how education is delivered from a traditional to a digital format. At this time, the world is being affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, which is causing restrictions on activities and gatherings and causing difficulties in lectures. Electronic learning, the most widely used learning medium by all groups, is seen as a solution to keep the learning going in higher education, from primary to post-secondary levels of education. The purpose of this study was to investigate the use of E-Learning as a learning medium in the Indonesian language education department of universities following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis to implement Indonesian language education learning by taking samples from lecturers who teach Indonesian courses at the Manado State Islamic Institute and Manado State Christian Institute. According to the study's findings, using information technology as a medium of learning in Indonesian language education courses through e-learning is beneficial, particularly in light of the country's ban on face-to-face instruction. Then, the university should continue to develop e-learning to improve the ease and quality of the teaching and learning process, increase student learning effectiveness, and broaden its reach.
This purpose of study analyzed mobile learning application using by Dangle tool through Islamic values for students of English department at Faculty of Teacher Training and Education in University of Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara. Research method conducted descriptive qualitative. Population conducted of 136 students 4th semester of English department in 2019/2020 academic year in University of Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara. Sample of 32 students taken Curriculum Design Material subject of English department at Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. The technique of collecting data used observation and documentation during the learning process. Data collection method carried out using by the spiral model of Kemmis and Mc and Taggart, these were; Action planning, treatment / observation of action, reflection and revision. The results of study showed the students can use the dongle properly and enthusiastically used it in the class of assignment presentation. M-learning application of dongle tool should be carried out in all classes in University of Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara to advance learning technology.
This study aimed to find out students' perceptions of synchronous and asynchronous learning modes. This research was conducted at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatra Utara. This study used a qualitative descriptive method and used random sampling. The subjects of this study were 50 students filling out the questionnaire and 8 students being interviewed. From the results of the study, it can be seen that as many as 72% of students are satisfied with the synchronous learning mode, and as many as 66% of students are satisfied with the asynchronous learning mode. It can be seen that more students like synchronous learning mode than asynchronous learning mode by online learning using whatssapp, google classroom, and zoom application.
