Bei der Einwirkung von Ozon auf 2.4-Dinitro-phenylhydrazone wird die CN-Doppelbindung aufgespalten, wobei hauptsachlich Ketone und m-Dinitrobenzol entstehen. Fur die mannigfaltigen Reaktionen wird ein Mechanismus vorgeschlagen. Dabei werden u. a. die mit Hilfe eines Sauerstoffbestimmungs-Geriites und der chemischen Analyse gewonnenen Ergebnisse sowie die NMR-, die IRund die Massen-Spektren zugrunde gelegt.In einer friiheren Abhandlung4) haben wir den Angriff von Ozon auf die CN-Doppelbindung von ScmFFschen Basen und von Nitronen beschrieben und diskutiert. Die vorliegende Arbeit dehnt diese Untersuchung auf 2.4-Dinitro-phenylhydrazone aus.Hinweise in der Literatur, dal) CN-Doppelbindungen von Ozon gespalten werden konnen, wurden im allgemeinen iibersehen. Bis vor kurzem nahm man ans), daD Ozon solche Bindungen nicht angreift.Seit unserer ersten Veroffentlichung4) wurde iiber den Angriff von Ozon auf die CN-Doppelbindungen von Azinens, 71, Pyrazolen7) und gewissen Derivaten des Diazomethans7.8) berichtet.Bei der Ozonisierung von 2.4-Dinitro-phenylhydrazonen gewisser Steroide waren die entsprechenden Ketone entstandens. 9). Dabei war jedoch das Schicksal des zum Doppelbindungs-Stickstoff gehtirenden Molekillteils offen geblieben; auch war nicht gezeigt worden, da13 die Doppelbindung tatsachlich durch Ozon und nicht etwa durch Hydrolyse oder durch Sauerstoff aufgespalten wurde.
