RESUMO: O presente trabalho tem por objetivo verificar a influência do módulo de elasticidade das estacas na previssão de transferência de carga e comportamento carga versus recalque, utilizando um caso documentado de estacas escavadas tipo "diafragma", reportado por Velloso et al. (1978). Por meio dos resultados da instrumentação (tell-tales) de duas provas de carga estáticas, conhecidos os recalques em diferentes profundidades, foi possível obter uma ideia aproximada da distribuição de cargas ao longo da estaca pela metodologia apresentada por Vesic (1977). Para o módulo de elasticidade do concreto foram efetuadas análises considerando dois valores: 21GPa e 30GPa. A partir daí, foram determinados os diagramas de transferência de carga e de atrito lateral em profundidade para as duas estacas instrumentadas (denominadas E104 e E413). Verificou-se a influência relevante do módulo de elasticidade nas previsões de comportamento carga-recalque. A variação do módulo de elasticidade da estaca influenciou diretamente na distribuição da carga normal em profundidade. Quanto maior o módulo de elasticidade da estaca, maior a carga normal e, consequentemente, menor a mobilização do atrito lateral.
Busca-se nesse artigo avaliar o trecho pseudoelástico das curvas equivalentes obtidas por meio de ensaios bidirecionais, comparando as cargas de segurança com as obtidas em provas de carga estática, realizadas pelo método convencional. A curva equivalente proposta por Silva (1983) fornece uma rigidez inicial bastante semelhante a da curva carga versus recalque fornecida pelo ensaio convencional de prova de carga estática, possibilitando, assim, a avaliação da carga de segurança, independentemente do método de prova de carga utilizado. Nesse contexto o objetivo deste artigo foi de estudar a técnica do ensaio Bidirecional, com destaque a aplicação prática dos métodos de interpretação dos resultados. São apresentados três locais em que foram executadas provas de carga realizadas pelos métodos convencional e bidirecional, em estacas moldadas "in loco", executadas em solos com capacidade de suporte semelhante, comparando-as quanto às cargas de segurança obtidas.

Dois casos de obra de estacas instrumentadas publicados na literatura foram revisitados: o primeiro em estacas escavadas de grande diâmetro no Porto de Paranaguá-PR, Velloso et al. ( 1978), e o segundo em estacas metálicas na Baixada Santista-SP, Perez e Falconi (2007). Para os diferentes níveis de carregamento, procedeu-se a estimativa de recalque para certa faixa de módulo de elasticidade da estaca e do solo. São apresentadas as curvas previstas correspondentes aos valores extremos, superior e inferior, das faixas de módulos analisados. Em relação ao módulo de elasticidade do concreto das estacas do primeiro caso, foi analisada a faixa entre 21 e 30GPa. Em relação ao solo, considerou-se uma faixa correspondente às estimativas realizadas por correlações empíricas. Para o caso das estacas escavadas, todas as previsões apresentaram um comportamento mais rígido do que o observado nos ensaios. Já para o caso da estaca metálica, os resultados experimentais se aproximaram da faixa inferior dos módulos de compressibilidade do solo. Esses resultados estão de acordo com Velloso e Lopes (2010), ao registrar maiores valores de módulo cisalhante (G) retroanalisados em um banco de dados de estacas escavadas, em relação às cravadas.
