Omówiono etapy procesu technologicznego oraz przebieg mikrowtryskiwania tworzyw polimerowych. Przedstawiono budowê narzêdzi formuj¹cych oraz stawiane im wymagania procesowe. Opisano techniki wytwarzania wk³adek formuj¹cych, takie jak obróbka mikromechaniczna, dr¹¿enie elektroerozyjne, a w szczególnooeci proces LIGA. Wskazano na ró¿nice istniej¹ce pomiêdzy mikrowtryskiwaniem a konwencjonalnym formowaniem wtryskowym. S³owa kluczowe: mikrowtryskiwanie, tworzywa polimerowe, wk³adki formuj¹ce. MICRO INJECTION MOLDING OF POLYMERS-TECHNOLOGY, TOOLS AND MACHINES Summary-Two basic methods of micro-devices' manufacturing: hot embossing and micro injection molding were characterized, the latter method was stressed. The stages of technological process and the course of micro injection molding of polymers were described. The constructions of forming tools and the processing requirements were presented. The techniques of fabrication of mold inserts, such as micromachining, electro-erosion machining and especially LIGA process (Fig. 2), were described. The differences between micro injection molding and conventional injection molding were pointed.
In this paper, a manufacturing method for composite materials that absorb electromagnetic waves in the form of blends of EMCCO-201 with SBS (styrene-butadiene-styrene copolymer, trade name Kraton) is shown and the absorption characteristics of the prepared samples are discussed. The materials were manufactured on the basis of extrusion technology. The absorption characteristics of the tested materials were measured as a function of the testing signal angles of incidence. The samples were 300 × 300 mm, made of aluminum alloy sheet and covered with either absorption elements that were spheroids of diameters 1-2 mm and 3-4 mm made of 50 vol. % of EMCCO-201 with SBS (styrenebutadiene-styrene) copolymer or pyramids with a 25 × 25 mm base and height of 50 mm made of epoxy resin covered by spraying with a layer of EMCCO-201 material without SBS copolymer. Absorption measurements were carried out in the frequency range from 3.0 to 11.0 GHz. The largest absorption of 5.5-6.0 dB at the frequency range of 7.0-10.0 GHz was obtained for samples with the epoxy resin pyramids of a square base 25 × 25 mm and height of 50 mm covered with a layer of EMCCO-201 material. The samples with the spheroids showed smaller absorption between 1-3 dB at the same frequency range.
Aspekty projektowania i wytwarzania mikroelementów oraz zastosowanie technologii mikrowtryskiwaniaStreszczenie -Na podstawie literatury omówiono wybrane problemy dotycz¹ce projektowania wyrobów z tworzyw polimerowych formowanych metod¹ mikrowtryskiwania. Scharakteryzowano stosowane w tej metodzie termoplastyczne materia³y polimerowe, uwypuklaj¹c ich specyficzne w³aoeciwooeci. Przedstawiono przyk³ady podstawowych zastosowañ technologii mikrowtryskiwania oraz uzyskanych na tej drodze mikrodetali z tworzyw polimerowych, ze szczególnym uwzglêdnieniem mo¿liwooeci wytwarzania w taki sposób równie¿ metalowych mikrodetali. S³owa kluczowe: mikrowtryskiwanie, tworzywa termoplastyczne, mikrodetale, projektowanie, mikroformy. ASPECTS OF DESIGNING AND MANUFACTURING OF MICRO-PARTS AND APPLICATION OF MICRO INJECTION MOLDING TECHNOLOGYSummary -Selected problems related to the designing of the products made of polymeric materials formed by micro injection molding were discussed. Polymeric thermoplastic materials used in this method were characterized and their specific properties (Table 1) were stressed. Examples of basic applications of micro injection molding technology as well as of the polymeric micro-parts produced by this way (Fig. 1-5), with especially stressed possibility of metal micro-parts ( Fig. 6) fabrication, were presented.
