In this study, a kind of self-assembly β nucleating agent (TMB-5) and intense shear field provided by a microinjection machine were simultaneously employed to address the long-standing question about the possibility to cultivate highly oriented β-crystals. The experimental results were cheerful. For dotlike TMB-5, it preferred to tumble and rotate following Jeffery orbits. In this case, the flow-induced α-nuclei in bulk materials were prevailing and only few β-crystals were generated on the surface of β nucleating agent or the oriented α-crystals. When it came to fibrous TMB-5, it was difficult for slender particles to rotate freely. The stretched polymer chains generated by flow continually deposited on the surface of TMB-5 and became β-precursors, which further induced adjacent molecules to crystallize into β-crystals. That is, with the applied flow, the well-aligned fibrous β nucleating agent replaced the stretched molecules to trigger the oriented epitaxial growth of lamellas, into hybrid shish-kebab composed of β-crystals.

Streszczenie -W artykule o charakterze przegl¹du literatury przedstawiono ogólne wymagania stawiane przez u¿ytkowników wyrobom wtryskiwanym oraz szczegó³owo opisano podstawowe kryteria wyboru metody wtryskiwania umo¿liwiaj¹ce spe³nienie poszczególnych obszarów tych wymagañ. Uwzglêdniono przy tym nastêpuj¹ce w³aoeciwooeci wyprasek: ich cechy geometryczne (rozmiary, grubooeae oecianek i jej zró¿nicowanie, prosty b¹dŸ z³o¿ony kszta³t), estetyka, ciê¿ar (tabela 1), w³aoeciwooeci mechaniczne, ró¿norodne w³aoeciwooeci u¿ytkowe, koszty wytwarzania, wielkooeae serii produkcyjnej oraz wymagania dotycz¹ce terminu, a tak¿e mo¿liwooeci recyklingu. S³owa kluczowe: wtryskiwanie, cechy wyprasek, kryteria wyboru. CRITERION FOR THE CHOICE OF INJECTION METHODSummary -In this review the general requirements set by consumers of moulded products as well as a detailed description of basic criteria for selecting a particular injection method in order to fulfill of the specific areas of these requirements have been presented. The following properties of moulded parts were taken into consideration in making the choice of criteria: geometrical properties [dimensions, wall thickness and their variations, simplicity or complexity of shapes ( Fig. 1)], esthetics (Figs. 3 and 4), weight (Table 1), mechanical properties ( Fig 5), variety of application properties (Fig 6), production costs, volume of production series and deadlines (Figs. 7 and 8) as well as recycling possibilities.

The growing needs for miniaturization of plastic parts motivates to the development of micro injection molding technology. Characteristic features of this process such as: low manufacturing costs, short process duration, the ability to produce details of various dimensions and a wide range of plastic properties allow to mass dissemination of this technology. Research on micro injection molding develops in a very fast time, which gives high hopes for a successful overcoming of the real limitations of this technology. This gives a great perspective on the development of the possibility of using micro injection parts e.g. in the automotive industry. This paper presents the possibilities of manufacturing molds for micro injection molding. The issue of process optimization has been discussed, taking into consideration the main technological parameters influencing the quality of micro-part. In addition, the possibility of using microdetals, including the automotive industry was presented.
