This study examines the significance level of teaching factory learning model to the occupational readiness of the students. Using the research design of a quantitative approach with causal comparative, the study included the following variables: teaching factory learning model (X) and occupational readiness (Y).The population consisted of 30 students of the study program of Automotive Engineering Education, Faculty of Engineering, State University of Semarang. They were selected using proportional random sampling technique. The data was analysed using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The findings shows the implemetation of teaching factory learning models (X) contributes significantly with the percentage of 22.80% to the occupational-readiness (Y). These results suggest that the implementation of teaching factory in the learning process is strongly recommended for the vocational educators both lecturers and teachers. The implementation can be adjusted to suit the conditions and the learning resources available in the educational institution.
The purposes of this study are to investigate the effect of condenser cooling fan addition and air flow rate on the performance of Atmospheric Water Generator (AWG). In this work, humid air from the environment was supplied into AWG at 15 lpm. Then, it was condensed in the system with and without using a condenser cooling fan. The fan air flow rate also varied from 0.09 m 3 /s to 0.16 m 3 /s in order to better assess AWG performance. The results showed that the use of a condenser cooling fan can improve the Coefficient of Performance (COP) and the efficiency of Atmospheric Water Generator. The average value of COPactual of 2.499 and the highest efficiency of 79.07% were achieved by an Atmosphere Water Generator equipped with a condenser cooling fan at air flow rate of 0.16 m 3 /s.
In improving the quality of human resources, one of which lies in the quality of quality education. In this case, education has a very important meaning in human life, both in the life of individuals, nations, and countries. Therefore education must be implemented as well as possible so that it is following the objectives that have been planned. The objectives to be achieved from this study are to produce teaching materials for GMAW welding practice materials, produce teaching materials that are suitable for use in GMAW welding practices, and provide an evaluation of the effectiveness of using GMAW welding practice teaching materials after being used in learning. This research method uses the Borg and Gall development research method which is simplified into four steps, namely modified (simplified) into 4 steps consisting of: (1) preliminary study; (2) product development and validation; (3) limited trial; and (4) the final product. The type of research used in this research is the development of teaching materials in the form of practice modules, job sheets, and evaluation sheets in the GMAW welding practice course. Based on the research results, the researcher can conclude that the development of teaching materials for GMAW welding practices has been implemented properly. The revised results from the experts have been applied to the modules made so that the modules can be used properly by students.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
