This research was conducted to examine the effect of addition herbal in drinking water on the performance on broiler chicken. This research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with for treatments, the treatment tested were: drinking water without a mixture of ingredients herbs (R0/control), herbal ingredients 5 ml/liters of drinking water (R1), herbal ingredients 10 ml/liters of drinking water (R2) and herbal ingredients 15 ml/liters of drinking water (R3). Each treatment was repeated six so that experimental unit consisted of 4 chicken so that obtained 96 broiler chicken. This research variable studied were feed consumption, drinking water consumption, body weight gain and feed conversion. The research data were analysis whit used the analysis of variance (ANOVA) method and further tested with multiple follow up test Duncan’s research result show that the administration of herbal ingredients in livestock drinking water broiler chicken had not significant effect (P>0,05) on the performance of broilers chicken. It was conclude that the used of the herbal ingredients through drinking water at a dose of 5 to 15 ml/liters has a relatively uniform effect on the performance broiler chicken Riset ini dilaksanakan untuk menelaah tentang pengaruh pemberian ramuan herbal dalam air minum terhadap performa ayam broiler. Rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) merupakan metode yang digunakan dalam riset ini serta perlakuan yang digunakan terbagi atas empat perlakuan, yaitu tiada campuran ramuan herbal dalam air minum (R0), ramuan herbal 5 ml/lt air minum (R1), ramuan herbal 10 ml/lt air minum (R2) dan ramuan herbal 15 ml/lt air minum (R3).Setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak enam kali sehingga diperoleh 24 unit percobaan; setiap unit percobaan terdiri dari 4 ekor ayam sehingga diperoleh 96 ekor ayam broiler. Variabel penelitian yang diteliti adalah pakan yang dikonsumsi, konsumsi air minum, konversi pakan dan pertambahan bobot badan. Data hasil penelitian di analisis dengan menggunakan metode analisis of variance (ANOVA) dan diuji lanjut dengan uji lanjut berganda Duncan. Hasil analisis penelitian menampakkan bahwa tidak adanya pengaruh yang nyata (P>0,05) dari perlakuan pemberian ramuan herbal dalam air minum terhadap performa ayam broiler. Disimpulkan bahwa pemakaian ramuan herbal melalui air minum dengan dosis pemberian 5 sampai 15 ml/lt air minum memperlihatkan pengaruh yang relatif seragam terhadap performa ayam broiler
The study was conducted to evaluate the usage of moringa (Moringa oleifera) leaf flour in the ration against the interior quality and protein content of eggs in superior native chickens aged 32 weeks. Experimental design used is Complete Randomized Design with four treatments and six replications. Each experimental unit has four superior native chicken Eggs. Treatment feeds were distinguished by the percentage of use of moringa oleifera leaf flour: R0=0%, R1=5%, R2=10% and R3=15%. The results showed that the use of moringa leaf flour up to 15% in the ration can have an influence on increasing egg yolk color 63.86% and protein content 54.35%, but does not affect egg yolk index, egg white index, and haugh egg unit. Based on the results of the study, It can be concluded that increaseing in the level of moringa leaf flour from 0% to 15% in the ration can increase egg yolk color. The usage moringa leaf flour 5% to 10% in the ration can increase the protein content of eggs. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pemanfaatan tepung daun kelor (Moringa oleifera) dalam ransum terhadap kualitas interior dan kandungan protein telur pada ayam ayam kampung unggul Balitbangtan umur 32 minggu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan empat jenis perlakuan dan enam ulangan. Setiap unit percobaan terdapat empat ekor ayam. Pakan perlakuan dibedakan berdasarkan persentase penggunaan tepung daun kelor: R0=0%, R1=5%, R2=10% dan R3=15%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan tepung daun kelor sampai dengan 15% dalam ransum dapat memberikan pengaruh terhadap peningkatkan nilai warna kuning telur 63,86% dan kandungan protein sebesar 54,35%, tetapi tidak mempengaruhi nilai indeks kuning telur, indeks putih telur dan haugh unit. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa peningkatan level tepung daun kelor dari 0% sampai 15% dalam ransum dapat meningkatkan intensitas warna kuning telur. Pemanfaatan 5% sampai 10% tepung daun kelor dalam ransum dapat meningkatkan kandungan protein telur.
This study was to evaluate the effect of giving areca nut (Areca catechu L) as a feed additive on the performance of broiler chickens. The material used is 96 DOC broiler chicken strain CP 707. Completely Randomized Design was adopted in this experiment which consist of 4 treatments and 6 replications, 4 chcikens per replicate. The treatments were P0: Commercial feed without areca nut powder, P1: commercial feed + 1% coconut betel nut, P2: Commercial feed + 1% areca nut, P3: Commercial feed + 1% ornamental betel nut. Research variables include feed intake, body weight gain, final weight and feed conversion ratio. The results of the study showed that giving different types of betel nut to chickens had a significant effect (P<0.05) on final body weight, body weight gain, and feed conversion ratio. It was found that providing different types of areca nut at a level of 1% in commercial feed increased body weight gain, final weight and decreased feed conversion ratio in broiler chickens. The final body weight and the body weight gain of broiler chickens is higher when they are feed areca nut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh pemberian jenis pinang (Areca catechu L.) sebagai feed additive terhadap performa ayam broiler. Materi yang digunakan adalah DOC ayam broiler strain CP 707 sebanyak 96 ekor. Metode penelitian ini memakai Rancangan Acak Lengkap meliputi 4 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan, tiap-tiap ulangan terdapat 4 ekor ayam broiler. Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah P0: Pakan komersial tanpa penambahan serbuk pinang, P1: Pakan komersial +1% serbuk bonak, P2: Pakan komersial + 1% pinang irian, P3: Pakan komersial + 1% pinang hias Pakan perlakuan diberikan dari umur 14-35 hari. Variabel penelitian meliputi konsumsi pakan, pertambahan bobot badan, bobot badan akhir dan konversi pakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian jenis pinang yang berbeda pada ayam berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap bobot badan akhir, pertambahan bobot badan, dan konversi pakan. Pemberian jenis pinang yang berbeda pada level 1% pada pakan komersial mampu menaikkan pertambahan bobot badan, bobot akhir dan menurunkan konversi pakan pada ayam broiler. Bobot akhir dan pertambahan bobot badan ayam broiler lebih tinggi bila diberi pakan yang ditambah pinang irian.
