Among the visitors, there are many people with disabilities of various kinds that require special attention in order to navigate museum hallways and to access information about the collection. Currently, in an inclusion focused environment, there has been growing concern about how people with special needs access culture, so many cultural institutions have carried out projects that are specifically geared towards people with disabilities. This paper presents a synthesis on public policies that aim to ensure access to culture for all people. Based on a study of museum internet sites, this article addresses the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and discusses the experience of simulating navigation with the screen turned
