This study aims to analyze the market structure of cattle and buffalo in the livestock market based on the concentration of traders and buyers, barriers to market entry, market behavior and market performance of livestock, and their relationship to marketing efficiency. The sampling technique used is Stratified Random Sampling. Data analysis used Market Share analysis, Hirschman Herfindahl Index (IHH), CR4 (Concentration ratio for the biggest four), concentration ratio (Kr), market entry barriers with Minimum Efficient Scale (MES) analysis, and Price – Cost – Margin (PCM). The market structure of cattle and buffalo in the livestock market based on the concentration of traders is oligopsony with low concentration, based on the concentration of buyers it is an oligopsonistic market, and based on barriers to market entry it is categorized as high barriers to market entry. There is a relationship between market structure, market behavior and market performance on marketing efficiency in the livestock market.
This study aims to analyze the level of beef price volatility before fasting (D-7) to after Eid (H + 7) in Jambi City, and compile a forecast model. This study used a survey method for beef traders in the Angso Duo market, Jambi City. The analysis used to calculate the volatility of beef prices is the ARCH (Autoregressive Conditional Heteroscedastic) model analysis and the GARCH (Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroscedasticity) model analysis. The average price of beef during the period before fasting (D-7) to after Eid (H + 7) in Jambi City was IDR 124,147 per kg with the highest price of IDR 150,000 and the lowest was 110,000 per kg. The volatility of beef prices during the period before fasting (D-7) to after Eid (H + 7) in Jambi City is the highest before Eid al-Fitr (Eid). ARCH and GARCH models can predict the future value of beef prices.
This study aims to identify and inventory the fishing units in Tanjung Solok Village, Kuala Jambi District, Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency. This research was conducted in June-July 2021. The method used in this study is a survey method, with direct observations in the field and conducting interviews with fishermen and noting the fishing units used by fishermen in Tanjung Solok Village. The sampling method is a census of 106 fishermen who have fishing units and domiciled in Tanjung Solok Village. The data collected in this study include general biographical data of fishermen, ships or boats used to catch fish, fishing gear used, and catches while fishing. The data analysis used in this research is Descriptive Data Analysis. Fishermen in Tanjung Solok are aged between 20 and 70 years with elementary, junior high and high school education and work as main fishermen, fishermen and side fishermen. The fishing vessels used are classified as outboard motor boats, non-motorized boats and motor boats made of fiber or wood with ship sizes of 1 to 4 GT. There are 7 types of fishing gear used, namely Gillnet, Mini Trawl, Pull Trawl, Splint, Rawai, Net, and Clam Stick and are dominated by fishing gear that is easy to operate and cheap. The most widely used fishing gear is the Gillnet. The fishing area for Tanjung Solok fishermen is around the territorial sea which is no more than 12 miles from the coastline because the fishing units are classified as small-scale. The fish caught by fishermen vary from shrimp and gulama fish, happy fish, side fish and shellfish.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perilaku komunikasi ibu rumah tangga dan mengetahui hubungan antara perilaku komunikasi ibu rumah tangga dengan pengambilan keputusan inovasi penggemukan sapi potong. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara survey. Penentuan lokasi dan responden dilakukan secara sensus. Untuk mengetahui hubungan antara perilaku komunikasi dengan pengambilan keputusan digunakan metode Korelasi Jenjang Spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perilaku komunikasi ibu rumah tangga di Kecamatan Danau Teluk tergolong kategori cukup (64,23 %). Ini berarti ibu rumah tangga sering berkomuniksi meskipun mereka kurang kosmopolit, dan kurang dalam memanfaatkan media massa. Tingkat adaptasi ibu rumah tangga terhadap inovasi penggemukan sapi potong cukup tinggi, dimana mereka pada umumnya mengambil sikap untuk mencoba melaksanakan inovasi (83,33 %). Dari hasil penelitian diketahui terdapat hubungan nyata antara partisipasi komunikasi dan kekosmopolitan dengan pengambilan keputusan, sedangkan antara pemanfaatan media dengan pengambilan keputusan berhubungan tidak nyata.
