O presente artigo busca realizar alguns apontamentos a respeito do projeto atual de educação que o Estado brasileiro vem destinando à população trabalhadora do campo, em resposta às demandas dos movimentos sociais ligados à questão agrária. A discussão é feita com base na análise de documentos oficiais norteadores da política educacional para o campo que estão hoje em vigor. Entende-se que as mudanças, ou adaptações, nos projetos de educação são determinadas pelo capital e se colocam no sentido de atender os interesses da classe dominante. Problematizarmos a armadilha ideológica existente na reivindicação da especificidade na educação do aluno do campo, pois se a formação oferecida à criança da classe trabalhadora além de “básica”, ou seja, voltada para a qualificação para o mundo do trabalho, se constituir em uma formação específica, fragmentada, com adaptações curriculares que contemplem o cotidiano, a vida e o trabalho no campo, a escola da classe trabalhadora “se empobrece”, visto que abre mão de garantir a criança seu direito de apropriar-se do conhecimento formal. Deste modo, buscamos alguns elementos para refletir a respeito do argumento que considera que a concepção hegemônica de educação do campo acaba por privar a criança do campo do melhor e mais elaborado conhecimento que a humanidade produziu e acumulou.
Ao longo deste artigo trataremos da escola rural primária no período republicano e de sua associação com o modelo de escola multisseriada e unidocente denominada escola isolada – termo que se torna mais usual no fim do século XIX. Essa associação não se origina nesse trabalho, há autores importantes que já escreveram sobre o assunto e é com eles também que travaremos nosso diálogo para apreender o conceito de escola isolada rural. Em nossas análises abordaremos a relação entre café, ferrovia, coronelismo e escola, bem como a influência do ruralismo pedagógico no contexto educacional da época. Identifica-se que a organização dos serviços públicos ou de utilidade coletiva, sobretudo no que concerne à educação primária, era feita à revelia da zona rural. Nesse sentido, por mais que as escolas primárias rurais fossem criadas por meio de decretos em todo interior paulista, havia pouca, ou nenhuma, garantia de que elas, de fato, chegassem a ser instaladas.
Organização do trabalho pedagógico em escolas do campo: limites e possibilidades Resumo À luz de um referencial teórico histórico-dialético, este texto discute questões relacionadas à organização do trabalho pedagógico nas escolas do campo, considerando os principais desafios da atual conjuntura do meio rural brasileiro. Como questão de fundo, traz à tona o debate da especificidade, ou não, da escola do campo. Entendemos que a expropriação do trabalho do homem do campo, bem como a precarização da condição de vida e a miséria ocasionam grande impacto social no meio rural, e contribuem para o esvaziamento do campo. E neste contexto de mudanças na configuração do rural e nas condições objetivas de vida, mudou também o homem, o trabalhador do campo. Neste sentido, o sujeito do campo não pode ser pensado como alguém isolado, excluído completamente de quaisquer resquícios de desenvolvimento. Diante do contexto da reestruturação produtiva e das novas formas de organização do trabalho rural, houve uma ampliação e uma diversificação de atividades, divididas entre agrícolas e não agrícolas, de maneira que os trabalhadores foram obrigados a residir onde quer que sua materialidade minimamente esteja garantida. E no sentido de apreender as formas de organização da vida no campo, e, sobretudo da escola do campo buscamos pinçar alguns elementos para pensarmos a educação na atualidade.
