Good germination of rattan seed (DaemonoropsdracoBlume) will increase the germination rate, germination rate, and germination rate. However, to germinate undergoes any obstacles because the seed of jernangrattan has a period of dormancy. The immersion in cold water or at normal temperature (28o - 32o C) is one way that can be used to break the dormancy period of the seed. This study aims to determine the long immersion to the value of germination of rattan seed jernang (D. dracoBlume). This study used 3 treatments and 1 replication. The treatment in this research is soaking time without immersion (control), soaking for 24 hours, and 48 hours. The result research is that the long immersion has the effect on germination of rattan seed jernang (D. dracoBlume). The results showed that the best percentage of rattan seed germination (D.dracoBlume) got the preliminary treatment with water immersion for 24 hours with a percentage of 80%. The best seed germination rate is at 48 hours of water immersion treatment at 33.89% / day. The highest germination rate was found in seeds treated by water immersion for 48 hours with an average of 0.0122% / day.Keywords : germination capacity; rotan jernangPerkecambahan benih rotan jernang (Daemonorops draco Blume) yang baik akan meningkatkan daya kecambah, laju perkecambahan,dan nilai perkecambahan. Namun demikian untuk mengecambahkan masih terdapat kendala, karena benih rotan jernang memiliki masa dormansi. Perendam dalam air dingin atau pada suhu normal (28o - 32o C) merupakan salah satu cara yang dapat digunakan untuk mematahkan masa dormansi benih. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui lama perendaman terhadap nilai perkecambahan benih rotan jernang (D. draco Blume ). Penelitian menggunakan 3 perlakuan dan 1 ulangan. Perlakuan pada penelitian ini adalah waktu perendaman yaitu tanpa perendaman (kontrol), perendaman selama 24 jam, dan 48 jam. Hasil penelitian yang didapat adalah lama perendaman berpengaruh terhadap perkecambahan benih rotan jernang ( D. draco Blume ). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase perkecambahan benih rotan jernan ( D.draco Blume ) yang terbaik yaitu yang diberikan perlakuan pendahuluan dengan perendaman air selama 24 jam dengan persentase sebesar 80%. Laju perkecambahan benih yang terbaik adalah pada perlakuan perendaman air selama 48 jam yaitu sebesar 33.89 %/hari. Nilai perkecambahan tertinggi terdapat pada benih yang diberikan perlakuan perendaman air selama 48 jam dengan rata – rata sebesar 0.0122 %/hari.Kata kunci : daya perkecambahan; rotan jernang
Eurycoma longifolia is a medicinal plant that almost all parts can be utilized. However, this type of plant has begun to diminish in the habitat of natural forests, as the harvesting continues to increase, while the effort is not done. In the future cultivation effort, then the research on the Sturuktur, plant composition around the Eurycoma longifolia and also the associated plants is very necessary, especially cultivation in the day. Primary data sampling activities are done by single tile method with tile size used is 100 × 60 m. Furthermore, in the single plot, there are 15 observation plots for tree level, pole, stake, and bottom plant. The determination of the observation plot is done purposive sampling (intentional) in the area that there are many Earth stakes in each different location. The results of the study found there were about 50 types of vegetation in community units, Semai benih Bangsa 18 types, stakes 26 types, pole 23 types, and trees 25 types. The research aims to analyze the height anddiameter growth, and survivalpercentage of shorea balangeran seedlingsunder shade house after being kept in the cartons, and tended in the small greenhouse. The method used was a completerandom design. The results showed that the highest high growth of belangeran seedlings under the shadehousewas 3.25 cmthat was reached through the treatmens of keeping the seedlings for 6 days in the carton, and without tending in small green house. The highest diameter growth of belangeran seedlings under the shadehouse was 0.188 cm reached through the treatmens of keeping the seedlings for 9 days in the carton, and tending the seedlings in small green house for 15 days. All belangeran seedlings (141 seedlings) used during the research process were alive under the shade house with the percentage of 100%.
The purpose of this study was to examine the survival percentage, height growth, and diameter growth of mahogany (Swietenia macrophylla) seedlings. The research method used was a factorial completely randomized design with 2 factors. The first factor consisted of five levels of immersion (control, young coconut water for 12 hours, onion solution for 6 hours, bean sprouts solution for 12 hours, and hot water 60°C for 12 hours). The second factor is the depth of planting with two levels of depth (1 cm and 2 cm). The research data were first analyzed for normality using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, followed by analysis of variance, Least Significance Different test, and Duncan’s multiple test. The results showed that there was a relationship between planting depth and immersion had a significant effect on the percentage of germination. Seeds planted two centimeters deep and soaked in various materials had the highest germination rates. The relationship between the immersion treatment and planting depth also had a significant effect on the growth of seedling height. The interaction of soaking treatment using bean sprouts solution for 12 hours at a depth of 2 cm resulted in the highest height growth (27.70 cm), while the treatment interaction that resulted in the lowest height growth (11.20 cm) was soaking with onion solution for 6 hours at 1 cm deep. Diameter growth is also significantly affected by this interaction. Soaking with bean sprouts solution for 12 hours at a planting depth of 2 cm resulted in the largest diameter growth (0.295 cm), while soaking with onion solution for 6 hours at a planting depth of 1 cm resulted in the smallest diameter growth (0.135 cm). The results of the study recommend that in order to obtain fast-growing seedlings, it is recommended to use bean sprouts soaking for 12 hours with a planting depth of 2 cm.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menguji persentase hidup, pertumbuhan tinggi, serta pertumbuhan diameter dari bibit mahoni (Swietenia macrophylla). Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah rancangan acak lengkap faktorial dengan 2 faktor. Faktor pertama terdiri dari lima tingkat perendaman (kontrol, air kelapa muda selama 12 jam, larutan bawang merah selama 6 jam, larutan tauge selama 12 jam, dan air panas 60° C selama 12 jam). Faktor kedua yaitu kedalaman tanam dengan dua tingkat kedalaman (1 cm dan 2 cm). Data penelitian terlebih dahulu dianalisis normalitasnya menggunakan uji Kolmogorov-Smirnov, dilanjutkan dengan analisis sidik ragam, uji beda nyata terkecil, serta uji berganda duncan. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa ada hubungan antara kedalaman tanam dengan perendaman berpengaruh nyata terhadap persentase perkecambahan. Benih yang ditanam sedalam dua sentimeter dan direndam dalam berbagai bahan memiliki tingkat perkecambahan tertinggi. Hubungan antara perlakuan perendaman dan kedalaman tanam jugaberpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan tinggi semai. Interaksi perlakuan perendaman menggunakan larutan tauge selama 12 jam pada kedalaman 2 cm menghasilkan pertumbuhan tinggi paling tinggi (27,70 cm), sedangkan interaksi perlakuan yang menghasilkan pertumbuhan tinggi paling rendah (11,20 cm) adalah perendaman dengan larutan bawang merah selama 6 jam pada kedalaman 1 cm. Pertumbuhan diameter juga berpengaruh nyata oleh interaksi tersebut. Perendaman dengan larutan tauge selama 12 jam pada kedalaman tanam 2 cm menghasilkan pertumbuhan diameter terbesar (0,295 cm), sedangkan perendaman dengan larutan bawang merah selama 6 jam pada kedalaman tanam 1 cm menghasilkan pertumbuhan diameter terkecil (0,135 cm). Hasil penelitian merekomendasikan agar memperoleh pertumbuhan bibit yang cepat tumbuh disarankan menggunakan perendaman larutan tauge selama 12 jam dengan kedalaman tanam 2 cm.
Pemangkih Tengah merupakan desa merupakan kawasan yang dikelilingi oleh lahan rawa pasang surut. kurang lebih 80% lahan rawa pasang surut tersebut dimanfaatkan masyarakat untuk pertanian tanaman padi. Di lahan yang berawa dan tidak dimanfaatkan untuk pertaian banyak ditumbuhi oleh gulma eceng gondok (Eichhornia crassipes) yang berdampak pada pemanfaatan perairan. Salah satu upaya untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut adalah dengan memanfaatkan eceng gondok sebagai pupuk. Pupuk organik berbahan eceng gondok mampu memperbaiki struktur fisik tanah, meningkatkan ketersediaan unsur hara, dan pertumbuhan vegetatif. Tim PKM menjadikan kegiatan pembuatan pupuk ini sebagai program dalam mengatasi masalah lingkungan yang ada di desa Pemangkih Tengah RT 06 RW 01. Program ini dilaksanakan dengan memberikan penyuluhan mengenai pemanfaatan eceng gondok, pembuatan pupuk organik dan penanaman sayuran di pekarangan menggunakan pupuk organik eceng gondok. Proses pembuatannya dimulai dengan persiapan alat, pengambilan bahan (eceng gondok, dan sekam), pencacahan dan pengeringan, pencampuran dan fermentasi, yang terakhir adalah pengemasan pupuk. Tim PKM berhasil membuat pupuk organik dengan bahan utama eceng gondok dan memberikan edukasi cara membuatnya kepada masyarakat. Selain itu, produk pupuk organik eceng gondok dapat dipasarkan secara luas, sehingga menciptakan peluang usaha baru untuk meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat DesaPemangkih Tengah.
