Komunikasi merupakan kebutuhan dasar bagi manusia. Dengan berkomunikasi, manusia dapat saling berhubungan dengan satu sama lain di mana saja manusia berada. Di era teknologi yang berkembang pesat, berkomunikasi menggunakan Bahasa Inggris yang mumpuni merupakan salah satu keahlian yang wajib dimiliki agar dapat terjalin komunikasi yang baik. Namun, tidak semua anak-anak memiliki kepercayaan diri untuk berkomunikasi menggunakan bahasa asing seperti Bahasa Inggris. Kegiatan pengabdian mahasiswa kepada masyarakat itu sendiri adalah kegiatan yang mencakup upaya untuk meningkatkan minat dan keterampilan dalam berbicara Bahasa Inggris serta memotivasi para siswa-siswi untuk percaya diri dalam berbicara Bahasa Inggris. Hasil dari PMkM ini menunjukkan bahwa metode Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) merupakan metode yang tepat untuk diaplikasikan untuk kegiatan ini berdasarkan tujuan – tujuan yang ingin dicapai. Dalam kesempatan ini kami melakukan analisis yang dilakukan di SMP Islam Al-Fajar Kedaung kelas VIII, mereka mengalami kendala dan masih sangat membutuhkan pengetahuan tentang Bahasa Inggris. Kami membantu mengajarkan speaking skill untuk membangun rasa percaya diri dalam berbahasa Inggris. Topik yang disampaikan yaitu “Introducing Yourself and Your Friends” dan “Expressing Your Idea” yang meliputi penggunaan kata sorry, please, thank you, should, must, agree and disagree, dan juga menyatakan time and date. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa metode Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) meningkatkan kepercayaan diri peserta didik dalam berkomunikasi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini, kami berhasil melihat perkembangan rasa percaya diri dan kosakata mereka ketika memperkenalkan diri di depan umum melalui soal yang telah diberikan mengenai komunikasi dalam berbahasa Inggris tentang introduce, mengisi titik-titik untuk melengkapi conversation, dan time.
