ABSTRACTWomen with obesity would experience an increase in lipid. These lipids would be accumulated in the visceral part of the body caused anovulation that is part of the menstrual disorder called polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). This study aims to know factors that could affect obese women to change their lifestyle and to develop an instrument to educate obese women to decrease the risk of PCOS. This study consisted of three steps. In the first step, the obese woman was evaluated qualitatively using semi-structured interviews to know their education needs. In the second step, the education instrument was developed based on their
ABSTRACTDetermination of flavonoid content in the ethanol extract of red andong leaves and green andong leaves, which was determined by the colorimetric method using Uv-Vis spectrophotometry, aims to determine the flavonoid levels in the ethanolic extract of red andong leaves and green andong leaves. nm, the total flavonoid content is calculated by linear regression equation y = 0.00757x + 0.0324 with the coefficient of relation r² = 0.997842544. Determination of total flavonoid content was carried out by spectrophotometry based on the ability of flavonoids to form complexes with AlCl3. The flavonoid content obtained from the ethanol extract of red andong leaves is 0.329% and green andong ethanol extract is 0.4354%.
The stability of lotion is influenced by various factors, one of which is emulgators. The aim of this study was to determine the type of emulgator that produced the mosquito repellent lotion formula, the ethanol extract of cananga flower which had the best physical stability of the preparation. The mosquito repellant lotion formula of ethanol extract of cananga flos used anionic emulgator with stearic acid : triethanolamine (8%:4%), nonionic emulgator with concentrations of Span 60 : Tween 80 (3%:7%).
