This study aimed to investigate a performance development model of the certified teachers at private vocational schools through school principal leadership, working environment, and teachers' alleviating motivation.Research Method: This research was conducted using a descriptive correlation approach with a multiple regression analysis. The data were collected using a purposive random sampling technique with total respondents of 118 certified teachers from various private vocational schools in Tegal, Central Java, Indonesia. The data were gathered through questionnaires and then analyzed using SPSS 12.
Internationalization in higher education is a key process as it affects the life, culture, curriculum, teaching, and research activities of universities and their members. Internationalization in higher education as an intertwined process is all-pervade and policy-based, integrated and permeated into the life, culture, curriculum and teaching, as well as research activities of universities and their members. The success of this process depends on the academic community in higher education institutions which consists of lecturers, employees and students, generally regarded as human resources. This research aims to examine the implementation of human resource management on the internationalization of a private university, the oldest private university in Indonesia. Descriptive qualitative method was employed in this study. The research subjects were key informants of Universitas Islam Indonesia. The data were obtained through direct observations on the internationalization process in the university’s human resource management. The findings indicate that the progress of internationalization was supported by human resources management. Additionally, leaders’ strong commitment in human resources management is essential to ensure the success of the internationalization.
This study sought to investigate the strategy of internationalization of Muhammadiyah higher education institutions at Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) to pursue the status of a worldclass university. Qualitative method approach, empirical research was used to explore the internationalization strategy. A case study was used to achieve deep understanding to build institutional policy and practices of internationalization. People who were directly involved in the internationalization process served as key informants. In-depth interviews, participation, and document studies were used to collect the data, and an interactive model was used to analyze the data. The results of this research show that internationalization at home and internationalization of cross-border education were the strategy used, and the summer course was the main program at UMY.
