An availability of a parking place in the shopping centre remains becoming a problem since the vehicles often enter the parking area without being sure about the available parking space left in the parking lot. This research was intended to design information system regarding the availability of parking place for the vehicles when entrancing the shopping centre. Through this information system, the entering vehicles will just need to go to the available parking place. This research employed prototyping method by using microcontroller as input data processor, Inductive Proximity sensor, Wi-Fi module, and Web application. When vehicles come into the parking lot A, the sensor will provide the data on the Arduino about the available parking place in the parking area A, and then the data will be sent to the Web application by using Module Wi-Fi so that the web for the parking place A will get information about the availability and the unavailability of the parking place in that parking area. There will be also a description about the available parking place on the other parking places such as in the parking lots B and C. Through this research, the parking place for the vehicles will be more well-organized and the vehicles will be eased to look for an available parking space when they go into the shopping centre.

The complexity of electrical installation in a building will depend on the function or operation of the building in question. On the other hand, power supply is very important to support the building operation. However, it is very often difficult to locate which point in the power distribution system that experience electrical fault. This study attempts to solve such problem by designing a prototype of monitoring and controlling system of power distribution in school buildings. To this end, we use Arduino-based system and Wonderware InTouch for the user interface. This study resulted in a power monitoring system consisting of voltage sensor and electric relay connected to Arduino ATMEGA 2560. The system can be configured, monitored and controlled through a computer software.
Collisions between train and roadway user in a level crossing in a rural area are the most railway accidents. A warning device for the level crossing is required to avoid the accident between roadway users and the train in the level crossing. The system shall independent from the existing railway system so that no disruption on the traffic of the train. This paper present a level crossing devices system based on ultrasonic sensors and wireless communication. Master control will display the result of detection using buzzer alarm, warning lamp, and train passage direction. Train passage warning with direction helps the roadway user to get a better awareness of incoming train and eliminate assumption of train passage direction. Especially in double track railway in a rural area, in case dual train enter the level crossing from left and right direction, the roadway users sometimes only aware on the first train passage and ignoring the second train and lead to the accident.
Face detection is currently used for various purposes, one of which is to record employees attendance. This strategy is ineffective since the employees still can hack the attendance by making their own photos and put them in their desks. If they are unable to come to the office,they can always ask their colleagues to submit their already available photos.Therefore, an alternative that can complement the current face detection method is highly needed.One of the methods that can be used is hand gesture detection.This study aims to detect hand gestures made by the employees to ensure whether they really come to work or not,so the chance for manipulation is quite small.For the purpose of hand gesture recognition, this study utilized Local Binary Pattern Histogram algorithm. LBPH is an algorithm used for the image matching process between images that have been given training and images taken in real time.The hand gesture image was first taken using a raspberry pi camera and then processed to examine whether it matches the registered ID or not.The results showed that ID recognition by using hand gestures is detectable and is in accordance with the registered ID.The number recognition in hand gestures includes numbers 1 to 10. The test results showed that, the average time required for reading hand gestures using a laptop was 9.2 seconds, while that of using raspberry was 14,2 seconds.Motion reading using a raspberry takes longer than that of using a laptop because the laptop's performance is higher than that of a raspberry.
