A new genus of asterinid asteroid, Limnasterias gen. nov. and two new species, Limnasterias oinops sp. nov. and L. estradivariae sp. nov. are described from two East Kalimantan marine lakes, Indonesia. Limnasterias is differentiated from other asterinid genera by a combination of features: high aspect body with thick tissue covering; extensive papulate area; numerous single papulae in up to five rows at ray sides; boot-shaped inferomarginal plates; appressed superactinal plates and absence of superambulacral plates. The ecology and conservation of these species and their unique habitat are discussed.
Ciwidey Tourism Area is a tourism destination in the Province of West Java which has a rapid development. In 2007, the provincial government officially declared the area as the agropolitan region. It stimulated the fundamental impact on the household economy in the area. This study aims to elaborate on the spatial pattern of household economy alteration due to tourism penetration. It is a descriptive stud y that relies on primary data that comes from field observation and questionnaire - interview with local people. The study exercises spatial dan time series analysis to analyze the change of occupation and income of households between before and after the year 2007. The results showed that the development of tourism is situated at a distance of 2.5 km-5 km outside the core of the tourism area. It was marked by the development of tourism objects, tourism attractions, and secondary facilities. Such development resulted in changes in the type of household economy, from both the “unemployed” and “agricultural” to the “tourism” households. This change in household types was followed by an increase in population income, mostly around the tourism core.
Poverty is a problem that national governments have always faced, namely developed and developing countries' local governments. Several factors causing poverty were selected, including the Indirect Spending and Human Development Index, which was studied to influence poverty in Belitung Regency. The purpose of the study is to optimize poverty reduction through the Human Development Index and Indirect Spending scheme in the short and long term in Belitung Regency in 2011-2021, using secondary data from the website of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The method used Error Correction Model (ECM) and processed using Eviews. The results of data processing in this study show that Indirect Spending and human development indices negatively affect poverty in the short and long
