Abstract: This study aimed to determine formula and dosage of coffee pulpcompost that is appropriate to the growth of coffee in the nursery phase. The research treatment was a dose of coffee pulp compost with variations of bacterial consortia, using three treatments and one control including, 1) 150 grams of coffee pulp with variations of KA bacteria consortia, 2) 150 grams of coffee pulp with a variety of KB bacterial consortia, 3) 150 grams of coffee pulpwith a variety of consortia of KC bacteria in each treatment there were six replications. The results of the study were found to have an effect on the growth of coffee seedling height and did not significantly influence the growth of the number of leaves of coffee seedlings. This study gives an indication of formula C with 15 indigen bacterial isolates producing the best compost at dose of 150 grams for robusta coffee nursery.
Non-organic farming is not environmentally friendly, its management operations involve a lot of material that has the potential as a pollutant and free radicals, can affect the quality of the land of agricultural land. This study examines the presence of Cd, Pb heavy metals which can influence the nutrient levels of agricultural land. The study was conducted using the expose facto method, randomly taking 8 types of soil samples of agricultural land products with 4 replications in the agricultural land of Karangrejo Sub-District, Metro Utara, Metro Lampung City, in April 2019. Furthermore, samples were analyzed for the heavy metal content of Cd, Pb, N, P, K in the hope of knowing the relationship related to the availability of nutrients in agricultural land. Regression analysis and T-test showed that there were differences in the influence of the presence and levels of Cd, Pb metals on N, P, K levels in agricultural land. Heavy metals Cd, Pb contribute to suppressing levels of N, P, K in non-organic agricultural land.
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of variations in the dosage of lemongrass biopesticides and the best dose on the growth and resistance of red spinach pests. This research is also expected to be a potential source of learning biology. The research design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with one control and 3 treatments, P1: citronella stem biopesticide dose 35% P2: citronella stem biopesticide dose 40%, and P3: citronella stem biopesticide dose 45%, with each treatment using 6 replications. Growth and resistance of red spinach pests were analyzed using 1-way ANAVA. The results showed there was an effect of variations in the dosage of lemongrass biopesticide on growth and resistance of red spinach pests because the Fcount value was greater than the Ftable in the Chi-square table. 45% dosage of lemongrass biopesticide has the best influence on the growth and resistance of red spinach pests. This research also has the potential as a source of learning biology by using a scientific approach
he excessive use of chemicals for vegetable cultivation in Karangrejo, North Metro threatens the sustainability of agriculture. The high control of pests, weeds, and labor costs causes farmers to use chemicals and doses tend to increase, which poses a risk to consumers. PKM objectives: 1. Organic cultivation, 2. Training on post-harvest innovation on washing, packing, labeling, and packaging variations. 3. Variations of processed organic vegetables: ice cream and nuggets. 4. Development of offline and online marketing. Activities during July-September 2022, to 15 members of the Hijau Daun farmers group, with assistance/training on organic cultivation, post-harvest with the application of Pumakkal Liquid Fertilizer Production of PT. Pumahitari University of Muhammadiyah Metro, making ice cream and vegetable nuggets, offline and online sales practices. Activity results: 1. Farmer groups know and are capable of environmentally friendly organic cultivation. 2. Able to make compost and liquid fertilizer and 9 types of vegetables obtained Prima 3.3 certificate. Able to make ready-to-cook packages, Hida ice cream, and nuggets and use the web.
